Japan Air Lines Flight 123 (also known as JAL123) was a scheduled domestic Japan Air Lines passenger flight from Tokyo's Haneda Airport to Osaka's Itami International Airport, Japan. On August 12, 1985, a Boeing 747SR operating this route suffered a sudden decompression 12 minutes into the flight, and crashed in the area of Mount Takamagahara, Ueno, Gunma Prefecture, 100 km (62 mi; 54 nmi) from Tokyo 32 minutes later. The crash site was on Osutaka Ridge, near Mount Osutaka. The aircraft, which was configured with increased economy-class seating, was carrying 524 people. All 15 crew members and 505 of the 509 passengers died in the accident. Some of the passengers survived the initial crash but died of their injuries hours later while awaiting rescue. Surpassing the fatalities of All Nippon Airways Flight 58, which crashed 14 years earlier with 162 fatalities, it is the deadliest single-aircraft accident both in Japan and global aviation history. Update for FSX of DC-8-43
Update for FSX of DC-8-43
6.45Mb (424 downloads)
This is an update for FSX of the DC 8-43 by Historic Jetliners Group Designer: Dee Waldron. I have altered the panel background; changed most of the gauges because the ones with it don't work in FSX; added a HUD; I corrected all the contact points and added the rest of the wheels; added a picture so it shows on the choose the aircraft screen; gave it a sound file of its own; and updated the flight dynamics. No VC.

P3D/FSX B-17 Fire Fortress Package
268.16Mb (1177 downloads)
This package contains modified models of the freeware released Aeroplane Heaven B-17s and modified with their permission to create a number of civilianized firefighting B-17 models. The B-17s served from the 1960s until the 1980s and flew with a number of operators and tank designs. Ranging from 1,500 to 2,000 gallon retardant tanks. Most of the B-17s flying today were firebombers at some point in the not so distant past. The B-17s like many other converted aerial firefighting aircraft served longer as firebombers and some several decades longer than they did in their past military bomber/transport configurations. Proving to be a very underappreciated and underrepresented large portion of most of these aircraft's history. Operators represented in this package include Aero Union, Evergreen International, Black Hills Aviation, Globe Air Inc., and TBM Inc. Aircraft are compatible in both FSX and P3D. However, FSX users will need to modify the aircraft to better suit their sims. Original model by Aeroplane Heaven, repaints and tanker conversion by Nicholas Mitchell "Scorch00"
