Flotille 11F, also based at BAN Landivisiau and onboard the Charles de Gaulle carrier (R91), will gradually give up the Super Modernized Etendard (SEM) as they complete transition to the Rafale. FSX Lavochkin La-9 fighter. The Lavochkin La-9 was the most powerful of the Lavochkin piston fighters. Development of the Lavochkin La-9 began in 1945. It was a follow-through of the La-7 which was a proven fighter at the time. The La-9 had an all metall construction. The wings were slightly more cut-off at the tips instead of the more elliptical tips of the previous fighters. The new fighter, entered production in August 1946. A total of 1,559 aircraft were built by the end of production in 1948. Aeroplane Heaven freeware upgraded to FSX by A.F.Scrub.
