Long Island's Mitchel AFB
Mitchel Field was located on Long Island about 20 miles east of Manhattan in the middle of an area known as "The Cradle of Aviation". Mitchel Field dates from World War One when it was one of two Hazelhurst flying fields. Technically the map shows Hazelhurst Aviation Field #1 and Aviation Field #2. Aviation Field #2 was named Mitchel Field in 1918 for the memory of the youngest man ever elected Mayor of New York City, John Mitchel. He joined the Army during WWI and was killed in a training accident. Hazelhurst Aviation Field #1 was sold to private interests after WWI and became Roosevelt Field and Curtiss Field.

In 1916 Explorer Edrain de la Fuente found the incredible island with the chained budda. He told of the strange "fog" which emanated from the
shore in front of the Temple and provided a little map of the area. It was not until 1999 that Ashrow Mundrecon found the document and asked the Chinese government for a permit to visit the area....it was denied. Now, in 2011 the Prime Minister of China, an archaeologist from the University of How-Kome, has allowed his schoolmate, Dr. Vilanova DeVecchi to proceed with an expedition to the area of the lakes where
the island mentioned in de la Fuente manuscript says it is....Are you to be the Chief pilot in this quest??? or what?

I made this panel for this low poly aircraft with the intention to assist
those folks who are having problems making a transition from Glass and Analog
gauges to the newer Garmin type of complete glass cockpits. This aircraft
allows the pilot to switch back to the analog panel during flight as much as needed
to correct any wrong inputs into the Garmin G1000 panel. There is no aircraft I have
not been able to place the stock Garmin G1000 in and make work 100%

27 repaints for the Nazca studios/ Flyingstations.com freeware Westland Wyvern for FSX.
Delayed by no less than 3 engine changes and shifting priorities, the Wyvern was a troubled aeroplane,
though it had massive potental, and was described as having "just missed being great"
What if...
Flashback, 1939. What if some one with more vision and less professional jealousy
was in charge of gas turbine development at the Air Ministry?
Flashback 1944. With the Python and Clyde heavy turbine propeller aero engines moving
at a cracking pace, the troublesome Eagle sleeve valve piston engine is discarded, and turbine power
specified from the outset for the N.11\44 strike fighter. An extensive flight test program with the Firebrand
test bed resultes in fitting a Dowty inertia controller, eliminating the Pythons surging problems. Taking to the
air in february 1946, the big Wyvern is an immediate winner.
27 what if repaints for RN, RAF, RAN, RCN, RNZAF, Aeronavale, USN, USMC, USAF, MLD, Marineflieger, Luxemborg Marineflieger and FAECuba Wyverns
With the gracious permission of the FlyingStations.com Crew
