Denel Atlas AH-2 Rooivalk FSX / P3Dv3
Denel Atlas AH-2 Rooivalk FSX / P3Dv3
83.96Mb (1626 downloads)
FSX / P3Dv3 update Denel Atlas AH-2 Rooivalk. Previously designated Atlas CSH-2,it is a South African anti-tank helicopter manufactured by the company Denel Aerospace Systems thanks to the support obtained in collaborations with Western companies and the experiences acquired in the South African Border War. The Rooivalk was the result of the need of the previous South African army to obtain a combat helicopter prepared for the conditions of sub-Saharan Africa and especially the fight against tanks, of which many were lived in the South African Border War. Thanks to technology transfers made by several European countries, the United States and mainly Israel; South African companies such as Denel acquired the necessary technology for the construction and production of this type of aircraft. The first prototype flew in 1985; but the series devices arrived too late to intervene in the conflict in Namibia, as the first series device took off on November 17, 1997; already when the war was over. At that time the South African Air Force had acquired 12 units to equip two squadrons. On the excellent model of Johan Jacobs to whom the merits go, I have made changes in VC Cockpit textures and a 2d panel has been designed, sounds, rotor textures and other details have been changed, tested in FSX up to P3Dv3. Enjoyment....

This is a repaint of the DC-3 in Zambia Airways colors. The freeware DC-3 (C-47) by Manfred Jahn is needed for this repaint. It eventually got a Zambian registration - 9J-RFX. It was with the carrier from 1964 to 1974, when it was retired. Textures are 32bit dds. This repaint was tested on P3D v3, and should work on FSX, FSX-SE and P3D4.

FSX/FS2004 Zambia Airways DHC-2 Beaver c1966 Textures
FSX/FS2004 Zambia Airways DHC-2 Beaver c1966 Textures
2.48Mb (470 downloads)
This is a repaint of a DHC-2 Beaver in Zambia Airways colors. The freeware DHC-2 Beaver (wheels) by John L. Woodward is needed for this repaint. It is an FS2004 plane, but I flew it in FSX-SE using the default Beaver panel. The great FSX version of the plane by Yiannis Tsetsas can be downloaded here on Simviation, file link: https://simviation.com/1/download-file?file=BeaverRNAF.zip&fileId=52284. Zambia Airways was formed as a subsidiary of Central African Airways (CAA) in April 1964. When CAA collapsed in 1967, Zambia Airways became a fully Zambian owned carrier. In 1968, the fleet consisted of DHC2 Beavers, DC-3s, and two newly delivered BAC-111s from the defunct CAA. They flew on regional routes to Kenya, Malawi, Tanzania, and Mauritius. Alitalia was also hired to provide support of the initiation of new international services. A Douglas DC-8-43 leased from Alitalia was used for the long-haul Lusaka to London flights, which were inaugurated in November 1968, via Nairobi and Rome. In 1970 Zambia Airways took delivery of 3 HS-748s, and in 1974 they received their first Boeing liner; the 707-343C. One year later the two BAC-111s were sold to Dan-Air. July 1976 saw the delivery of the carrier's first 737-200. Zambia Airways received their first wide-body DC-10-30 in July 1984. Zambia Airways did well financially over the years, but by the end of the 1980s and early 1990s, things were a bit more complicated. With financial difficulties facing Zambia Airways, it was forced into liquidation in December 1994. Zambia Airways operated a total of 4 DHC-2 Beavers on local services. This aircraft, 9J-RFZ, was with the airline from 1964 to 1967. This repaint should work on FSX & FS2004. Textures are 32bit BMP.

Unluckilly for VASP, it was written off in 2003 when it hit a tree on landing in fog, and the gear collapsed. There were no casualties. Textures are 32bit dds. This repaint was tested on FSX-SE. 5.39Mb (125 downloads)
This is a repaint of the 707-349C in Zambia Airways colors. The payware 707-300C by Captain Sim is needed for this repaint. Zambia Airways used the 707 more than any other type during their existence, with the HS-748 coming a close second. They were obviously used on the long haul routes, especially to Europe. This aircraft, 9J-ADY, was operated by Zambia from 1975 to 1985. All 707s were eventually phased out by 1989. Textures are DXT5 dds. This repaint was tested FSX-SE. It should work on FSX & P3D v1-3.

This is a repaint of 9J-ABK, which was purchased new in 1970 and was eventually sold in 1989. Textures are 1024 32bit dds. This repaint was tested on FSX-SE. It should work on FSX & P3D v1-3.
