In the late 1970s Dornier GmbH developed a new kind of wing, the TNT ("Tragflügel neuer Technologie"), subsidized by the German Government. Dornier tested it on a modified Do 28D-2Skyservant and with Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-110 Turboprop engines. Finally Dornier changed the engine and tested the new aircraft, which was named Do 128 with two Garrett AiResearch TPE-331-5 engines. The company developed a new fuselage for the TNT and TPE 331-5 in two variants (15 and 19 Passenger) and named both project-aircraft E-1 (later Do 228-100) and E-2 (later Do 228-200). At ILA '80 Dornier presented the new aircraft in public. Both the prototypes were flown on March 21, 1981 and May 9, 1981 for the first time. After certification the first Do 228 entered service in the fleet of Norving Flyservice in February 1982. Over the years Dornier offered the 228 in upgraded variants and with special equipment for special missions. In 1998 the production line was stopped for better development of the successor Fairchild-Dornier 328. Original model by Björn Büchner

Houston Air National Guard (ANG) Tail flashes. This package contains "tail textures only" to represent three of the 111st Fighter Squadron's F-16C vipers. This squadron can be flown out of Ellington Field located in Houston Texas. Due to Base Closure 2005, these vipers are to be retired in place and new Predator mission to replace them. The L-15 is a supersonic trainer aircraft under development by Hongdu Aviation Industry Corporation (HAIG). The L-15 is being developed to meet the requirements of the People's Liberation Army (PLA). This model comes with HUD (and other gauges) and virtual cockpit.

FSX NASA XB-70 Valkyrie Package. Upgraded for FSX. Go to the Space ! This aircraft was shaped to fly at MACH 3 remaining within its Mach cone throughout the flight regime, using the shock waves beneath the wing to generate compression lift. The wing tips could be folded down 65° to increase this compression lift and also to provide greater directional stability. Unfortunately only two prototypes were built, and despite their exceptional performance, the XB-70 program had been cancelled after 130 missions, when an F-104 collided and destroyed the second prototype during a photo shoot. Even so, the B-70 provided invaluable high-speed flight test data. This model includes a detailed virtual cockpit. Gauges and sounds are included in package. Author : Massimo Altieri. 7MB
