It was a low-wing monoplane of mixed construction; a metal fuselage, wooden wing spars with fabric covering and external wire bracing. the STA has two tandem open cockpits. CFS2,FS2002/FS2004 Fairey Firefly NF MK1: This British Royal Navy fighter/bomber/night fighter aircraft first saw combat in Norway during 1944 against the German battleship Tirpitz. It was used mainly in the Pacific and was the first British aircraft to fly over Tokyo. Several Firefly squadrons saw active service in the Korean War. The 827 Squadron flew with MK1s from HMS TRIUMPH during 1951. This mdl represents a plane flown by 796 squad during 52/53. Original mdl by By Ted Simko.
