This download contains fourteen skins for the TRA_MB5, an AlphaSim FS9/FSX MB.5 that I have converted to CFS2. All but the PROTOTYPE are fictional....as the aircraft never went into production. However, the squadron skins are authentic, even if in reality used on other aircraft types.

These repaints are by AlphaSim and Nick Bradin (except those noted), and were converted for CFS2 by Rich Ruscoe. I am just posting them.

The TRA_MB5 for CFS2 is a conversion of the AlphaSim (virtavia.com) FsX freeware version. Modifications to the original MDL, DP, AIR, CFG, textures and panel files are mine. The aircraft is presented in operational RAF colors and armed with Guns Only, as opposed to the unarmed prototype. The panel includes autopilot,ECU and European GPS windows, SHIFT+2, 4 and 5.

In May 1939, on the occasion of the First International Aeronautical Journalists’ Congress held in Rome (Guidonia), the prototype was analyzed by a group of Italian and foreign pilots, who appreciated its qualities. The RO57 displayed itself better, in almost all the performances, than Macchi MC200 (the best national single-engine fighter), but shown soon a fault in the weaponry (only two 12.7 mm Breda Safat). In 1941, IMAM proposed a new version (Bis) armed with two 20 mm guns and designed to carry a 500kg bomb load in dive bombs missions.

"On 9 September 1950 he led four Mustangs in an attack on storage facilities at An'gang-ni, South Korea, which had recently been captured by the communists. While he was operating at low level because of poor visibility, his aircraft failed to pull out of a steep dive and he was killed when it crashed into the centre of the town."

For captmercy's updated C-46 for CFS2:
Replacing the current Aircraft.CFG and DP files with the ones contained in the download will dramatically improve the flight characteristice of this aircraft.

This is a conversion of Jens Kristensen's FS2004 VER 2 aircraft to CFS2. The panels have been converted as well....including the DVC. The textures are the originals and there are two of them: Cabot & Clare. The CFG file is set to Cabot (bare metal) now, but the spare set, Clare (Camo), is included in the folder.
