FSX/Accel Pilotable Battlecruiser HMS Hood. Laid down in 1916, commissioned in 1920, she remained the largest and most powerful warship in the world for twenty years and was the pride of the Royal Navy. Together with the modern battleship Prince of Wales she was sent in May 1941 to intercept Germany's new battleship Bismarck and the heavy cruiser Prinz Eugen. In the battle of Denmark Strait Hood got an deadly hit, exploded and sank within few minutes and lost her whole crew except three men. This addon contains two pilotable verions; one in the common Navy grey and the other in fictional camo regarding the RN camo style of 1942/43. Now you can explore this huge warship by toggling through thirty one cameras showing hundreds of realisticly details including a virtual nav-bridge. Effects are seperatly configured for port and starboard. The Ai-vessel is converted from Sketchup to native FSX by Klaus Novak and belongs to his WWII Royal Navy fleet at SOH. Repaint in camo, 2D-panel, configurations and files for pilotable vessel by Erwin Welker

Douglas D-558-2 achieved Mankind's first Mach 2 on November 20, 1953.
I've been longing for aircraft since I was a kid, but somehow I got to know D-558-2 six months ago.
The reason was that the glory of Chuck Yeager and Bell X-1 was so dazzling that I couldn't see D-558-2.
And Albert Scott Crossfield and Douglas D-558-2, who achieved the world's first Mach 2, became my heroes alongside the X-1.
The very elegant streamlined design of D-558-2 is very beautiful.
It's a very perfect design!
The triangular canopy glass is small and the pilot's face appears to be trapped.
What a small and unique cockpit.
What does the landscape from this cockpit look like?
And I was excited to see the powerful take-off photo of D-558-2 using JATO(Takeoff support rocket unit).
I wanted to reproduce these in FSX.
This model is D558-2 number 3 and is a hybrid of turbojet and rocket engine.
I dedicate this model for the great history of aircraft.
FSDS v3.5 model by uenoshing.
We have not confirmed the operation other than FSX ACCELERATION.
Edit: Works in P3D too.

What if the events of Ace Combat Zero took place in an early Cold War era? This is my take on Solo Wing Pixy (Galm 2) if he flew the MiG-15.

Chuck Yeager passed on in 2020 at the ripe old age of 97.
This more or less provided me the motivation for this mission.
I was fortunate to see him fly (a P-51), hear him speak and take photos in 1995
at a WWII 50th year celebration. Many WWII Warbirds came to a small airport
in southern Indiana (as I recall Clark Co. airport)...not far from where I live.
I do find the Bell X-1 controls are quite sensitive.
Aircraft are the F-15D or Bell X-1. Your choice.
