In 1989, the airport commenced civilian operations with one flight per day. The original runway was 6,000 ft (1,800 m) long and a new 10,007 ft (3,050 m)-long and 60 m (200 ft)-wide runway was inaugurated on 15 June 2007 to accommodate medium-sized and wide body aircraft. With the installation and calibration of the instrument landing system on runway 28, the airport got night landing facilities in July 2007, with the inaugural flight of Dornier Do 228 operated by Indian Navy. The night landing facility became operational from 30 March 2008 for commercial Airlines, SpiceJet is the first Airline to use night landing facility at India's Visakhapatnam Airport. A new terminal building was inaugurated on 20 February 2009 and became operational on 27 March 2009.

This is a repaint of the SkySpirit2010 Boeing 767-381F ER CF6-80C as the first Kalitta Air 767. Included are the KW 767 2D panel and the Authentic GE-CF6-80A/CF6-80C2B series sounds V 1.0. 2D panel and KW enhanced 737VC included.

FSX/P3D Airbus A350-900XWB Avianca package. Columbian flag carrier Avianca currently (2016) have orders for 10 Airbus A350-900 with deliveries scheduled to begin 2018. The Airbus A350 XWB is a family of long-range, twin-engine wide-body jet airliners from the European aircraft maker Airbus. The A350 is the first Airbus aircraft with both fuselage and wings made mainly from carbon fibre structure. The A350 is intended to replace the A340 and compete with Boeing's 787 and 777. I built this Auto Sports Race Track Simulation environment based on Lime Rock Race Park CT, and it is totally free! Besides providing an exhilarating experience at 198 MPH on the straight and the fact they you can go Multi-User in FSX, well you might just run into some race car drivers enjoying their practice runs too ! You get a nice photo surreal virtual race track and environment and plenty of hot cars too ! Have Fun !

This is an update for FSX of the Cessna Citation X by Chuck Dome. I have updated the flight dynamics, added the other wheels, corrected the contact points, fuel load, and max gross weight. I added or changed gauges to working ones for FSX. There is a VC with some working gauges, but the forward view only shows when you are heading between 200 to 238 degrees and 019 to 058 degrees compass headings; so it cannot be used to fly the aircraft. The textures are only solid in daylight; dawn, dusk, or at night the textures are there but transparent like clear coloured plastic. If any of you painters out there know how to fix this, I believe at least some people would appreciate it. This aircraft was originally made for FS2002.

Alphasim FS2004/FSX Late Mk.IX textures only. It is the mid-70s and after years of absence, there is a Spitfire that is about to take to the skies in South Africa. This came about due to the acquisition and the funded restoration project led by Larry Barnett. Evelyn as she was affectionately known was named after Barnetts wife. Her first flight after restoration (and others) was undertaken by Lieutenant General R.H.D. "Bob" Rogers, the then most highly living decorated pilot of the South African Air Force, whose career started in WW2 flying clipped-wing Spitfires in Italy from 1944 on wards under the colors of 40 Squadron, the exact badge which appears on Evelyn. He then went on to serve in Korea where he flew P-51D Mustangs and F-86 Sabres. Sadly one day in 1984 while landing after her display flight at our Margate air show, the then pilot (Not Rogers) whose name is not known, applied too much breaking power causing substantial damage to Evelyn. She never flew in South Africa again and was believed to have been sold to the US. Local simmers. Textures by A. Ludick.
