This is a repaint pack for Greg Pepper's CV-580 pack that's been converted to FSX Native. (also works in P3D v1-4), the air tanker version in particular. This pack holds 9 repaints in total. The Convair CV-580 was developed from the CV-240/340 family of aircraft. The CV-240/340s were originally radial powered transports from the 1950s. As the airframes aged, the want for increased performance and reliability out of the aircraft was needed. The CV-580 came to existence due to this need. The 580 differs little from it's earlier variants. However, it's largest most noticeable difference being was the retrofitting of a version of the infamous Allison T56 turboprop engine. Most notable for it's performance on aircraft such as the C-130 Hercules, P-3 Orion, and L-188 Electra. Due to the 580's similar shape and powerplant of the P-3/L-188 aircraft, some have dubbed it the "mini-P-3" or "Mini-Electra." Currently the CV-580 is operated as an air tanker only by two operators. Conair and the Government of Saskatchewan, both are operators in Canada. This pack represents 5 of Conair's CV-580s, T-42, 44, 47, 54, and 55. As well as Saskatchewan's T-471, 473, 474, and 475. These aircraft spend most of their operation in Canada. They do however, come down into the lower 48 states of the US on rare instances, and Alaska. Some were briefly contracted by the USFS to remedy a very large aircraft shortage in the US due to it's policies that crippled most of the private air tanker operators immediately following the horrific 2007 fire season. The CV-580 is capable of carrying up to 2,000 gallons of fire retardant or water. Repaints were constructed in P3D v4.5, so they shouldn't have issues in all earlier versions of FSX or P3D. FSX users will have custom thumbnails. Repaints by: Nicholas Mitchell.

The Viking (formerly Bombardier/Candair) CL-215/415 has been an infamous symbol of aerial firefighting for decades. Operators around the world have used the 215/415 platform to success. Interestingly, a part of the world that never saw much use of the 415 was the United States. Many have speculated it was one of a few reasons, the very high cost of the CL-415 and the US' already large and diverse air tanker fleet. All that changed when Aero-Flite of Spokane, Washington acquired 4 CL-415s and became the first US owned fleet of the CL-415s. With competition for more air tankers in the US has allowed for the successful integration into the USFS' contract system. The CL-415 is capable of over 3 hour loiter times and can deliver over 1,600 gallons of water, with an additional foam additive injected into it's scooped water load. Which makes for a very unique initial attack platform as well as extended attack. The 415 has been used successfully in the US before. Los Angeles County has leased 2 aircraft from Canada quite frequently in the past and present to bolster is's large rotary wing fleet. This pack represents all 4 of Aero-Flite's CL-415s as of late 2019. T-260, 261, 262, and 263 respectively. Repaints by: Nicholas Mitchell

I was made aware of an error in the French Air Force C-119 texture I recently uploaded. I inadvertently placed the wrong texture in the zip file. The wrong texture is a copy of the other French Air Force C-119 I uploaded, with serial number 12571. I fixed the issue, and have now placed the correct texture of the French Air Force C-119, with serial number 12562, in this zip file. I apologize for any inconvenience. Textures are 32bit BMP. This repaint was tested on FSX-SE. It should also work on FSX, P3D v1-3.

This is a repaint of the FH-227B in Ozark Airlines colors. The freeware FSX Native FH-227B by Bjorn Kesten is needed for this repaint. It was converted from Mike Stone's and Tom Gibson's models. Bjorn's versions of the F-27 and FH-227 are all 64 bit (P3D v4, FSW) compatible. Ozark operated 21 Fairchild FH-227s from 1966 to 1981. The FH-227B, which was the U.S. produced stretched version of the F-27. It replaced the older piston engined aircraft in the Ozark fleet in 1968. This particular repaint is of N4216, which was with Ozark from 1966 to 1975. The textures are 32bit DDS. It was tested on FSX-SE, but should work on FSX & P3Dv3 & v4.

This is a repaint of a Fairchild AC-119G Shadow of the 819th Attack Squadron in South Vietnamese Air Force camo colors. Ted Giana's C-119 package is needed for this repaint. Full credit to Daisuke Yamamoto for the model. Technically this is an AC-119G Shadow. Unfortunately, Daisuke Yamamoto did not make that particular model, thus the adaptation of this AC-119G is not completely true to life. Now if you put that aside, it looks good in the SEA camo. One other minor matter, due to the restictions within the model, I couldn't paint the top part of the horizontal stabilizer section in camo, as it would reflect that camo on the underside of the horizontal stabilizer as well. So, I used the black gunship color instead, which looks OK. Textures are 32bit BMP. This repaint was tested on FSX-SE. It should also work on FSX, P3D v1-3.

This is a repaint of the Fairchild C-119G in Royal Norwegian Air Force colors. Ted Giana's C-119 package is needed for this repaint. Full credit to Daisuke Yamamoto for the model. The RNoAF operated 8 C-119-Gs. All of them were ex Belgian Air Force planes. The eight C-119Gs were transferred to the Royal Norwegian Air Force via the US MDAP programme. They were active from 1956 to 1969, when they were eventually replaced by C-130 Hercules transports. Textures are 32bit BMP. This repaint was tested on FSX-SE. It should also work on FSX, P3D v1-3.
