FSX/FS2004 Heinkel He 59 Floatplane In 1930, Ernst Heinkel began developing an aircraft for the Reichsmarine. The He 59A floatplane prototype paved the way for the He 59B initial production model, of which 142 were delivered in three variants. The Heinkel He 59 was a pleasant aircraft to fly; deficiencies noted were the weak engine, the limited range, the small load capability and insufficient armament. This model depicts a Heinkel He59 B2 of the 3/KurFLGr 106 (Kustenfliegergruppe 106), stationed at Borkum, Nov 1939. Tested in FS2004/FSX/FSX Acceleration, Win7/8.1. GMAX mdl by A.F.Scrub.

FSX/FS2004 K5054 Spitfire Prototype The Spitfire represents the pinnacle of inline-piston engined interceptor design, and has become (arguably) THE timeless classic that other aircraft are compared too. Its designer, R.J Mitchell, has become recognized as one of the all time greats in cutting edge aviation design. Work on K5054 started in December 1934. K5054 was named Supermarine Spitfire in March 1936. K5054 took off on its maiden flight at 16.30 on March 5th 1936 from Eastleigh Aerodrome in Hampshire. The flight lasted just eight minutes. The flight was such a revelation that on landing testpilot Summers said of K5054 "Don't touch a thing".. Tested in FS2004/FSX/FSXacceleration, windows 7/8. GMAX mdl by A.F.Scrub.

FSX/FS2004 Spitfire MkIX Clipped The rapid pace of wartime development saw the Spitfire Mk.IX design tweaked many times during production. In order to gain a slight improvement in roll rate and about 4 mph at low level, the wing-clipping was done on those models intended (or modified) for low-level. The increase in the rate of roll made it still more competitive with the German FW 190 at low altitude. Czech and Danish version included. Tested in FS2004/FSX/FSXacceleration, windows 7/8.
