Grumman F4F-4 Wildcat VF-9 USS Ranger
Grumman F4F-4 Wildcat VF-9 USS Ranger (Category: CFS2 > Aircraft)
8.03Mb (7 downloads)
Grumman F4F-4 Wildcat VF-9 USS Ranger (CV 4) Ensign Hamilton McWorther, Operation Torch November, 1942 The Wildcat was the only effective fighter available to the United States Navy and Marine Corps in the Pacific from 1941 to 1943. While the Wildcat was still outperformed by the faster, more maneuverable, and longer ranged Mitsubishi A6M Zero, the F4F's ruggedness combined with effective US pilot's tactics made it more successful in combat. The first operational version, the F4F-3 had a fixed wing which limited the number a fleet aircraft carrier could operate to 18. Grumman had proposed incorporating a folding wing to the Wildcat in 1940 and the Navy had awarded a contract for the F4F-4 in 1941. The folding wings would allow the fleet carriers to operate 27 Wildcats. The Battle of the Coral Sea had proved the need for more fighters for CAP and escort, and the Navy rushed to replace the fixed wing F4F-3 with the new F4F-4 before the next inevitable carrier battle which turned out to be Midway. Navy and Marine pilots weren't thrilled with the F4F-4 as it was heavier, less maneuverable, and had added 2 more machine guns which reduced the ammunition to each and reduced the firing time. But it was what they had. They made the most of it that they could, and held the line through 1943. In the mid 1950s Naples Capodichino was an important military base for both the US Navy and the Italian Air Force. With many custom buildings and extensive military traffic by Al Von Pingel as well as some civilian traffic, this scenery depicts it as it was.

FSX/FS2004 Transall C-160D VH-TIT McDermott Aviation Group
2.13Mb (164 downloads)
Transall D77 was built in 1970 for the Luftwaffe and carried 50+55 as an identity. Replaced by the larger Airbus A400M, D77 was sold to an Australian company who wanted to turn it, and two others, into aerial firefighters. D77 became VH-TIT on 14th September 2022 and was delivered to Townsville Airport in November 2023. Fitted with a 14,000 litre internal tank, it will be operated by the McDermott Aviation Group in an aerial firefighting role. Painted onto the Capt I.D’Attomo/Capt G. Quai German Transall, I have added a water drop facility from AirFxEz. Enjoy.

P3Dv4+ Airbus C-295 Persuader Pack (Category: Prepar3d > Props)
113.85Mb (91 downloads)
This pack takes the existing PAD C-295 and expands the model set with 3 new variations of the winglet model of the C-295. The C-295 cargo variant modified by Airbus with a prototype gravity fed 1,800 gallon retardant tank and a secondary model with the MAFFS II roll-on-off retardant system capable of carrying 1,300 gallons of retardant. In addition to that, I have also created the CC-295 Kingfisher SAR platform. Which in this pack is marked in service for the Royal Canadian Air Force. The pack houses 3 airplanes total. I have updated the cosmetics of the airplane, some flight dynamics updates, exterior lighting additions, PBR, 4K textures, and new sounds. I have also merged in a new VC from the Airbus A320, as the original did not have a functioning 3D panel. While not technically accurate, it's still a dual engine Airbus platform. Just to liven the aircraft up a bit for the newer sims. Credit belongs to the original creators, Premier Aircraft Designs and their team. MSN 532 was built in 1997 and was allocated tail number N532GA for Gulfstream Aerospace. Its second owner re-registered it as N282Q in September 1998 and it stayed as that, until the fifth owner re-registered it as N282QA in December 2002. It became N740SS in May 2003 and acquired this amazing colour scheme in 2025. Painted on to the Peter Brun/Lider Designs Gulfstream G V model, this shows N740SS as seen in late 2025.

FSX/FSX-SE/P3Dv3 Supermarine Spitfire PRXI Update to Pilot's Notes 1565.
FSX/FSX-SE/P3Dv3 Supermarine Spitfire PRXI Update to Pilot's Notes 1565.
71.32Mb (140 downloads)
This update to the A. F. Scrub (Scrubby) RAF PRXI aircraft is intended, with approval, to make the 2D and VC panels appear more in accordance with the World War II PILOT’S NOTES PN 1565 for SPITFIRE IX, XI & XVI and indeed, to instruct on how to operate within the intent of those Notes. THIS UPDATE, AS PER THE ORIGINAL, IS NOT SUITABLE FOR P3D BEYOND V3 The update includes the 2 x 66 IPG wing tanks that were not included in the original upload. No provision is made for adding blister or drop tanks to further increase range. The Recon flight to the Ruhr Dams in 1943 is almost the limit without additional tanks being added. The project involved substitution of gauges, writing xml files to update gauges that did not function. Adding existing Lancaster gauges by Plane Design (previous approval over 13 years ago), xml help from Jeff Lind in Sydney to achieve the intent and gauges by Rob Barendregt for taxi and braking, RMcL and Jeff Lind for AWPT/Fuel, Wolfgang Piper for the analogue wind gauge plus Flight Time by P Wallaert. The original bmp for the 2D panel is worked over to remove the gun sight. For scenery viewing enthusiasts there is no better way to view your scenery as it passes under this aircraft at 30000ft. This will certainly be a new experience for all would be pilots. Refer to Page 8 of the pdf for installation details.
