Miles M12 Mohawk. Private aircraft for Charles Linbergh.
Flew many long distance trips before WWII, e.g India, Moscow. Donated to British Government c. 1940. Sold to a Mr Pini '48. Crashed in Spain Oct '49 after hitting object during take off. Remains obtained by Lew Casey & shipped to USA 1975.Some repair work carried out in USA, but then donated to RAF Museum in 2000.Skysport Engineering contracted to restore the aircraft in conjunction with the RAF Museums conservation centre. Displayed in RAF Museum Milestones building Hendon in 2008. Keith Paine

Model features high resolution textures, dynamic flexing wings, nose gear steering, rudder lock, ground spoilers, low speed aileron locks at high speed, fully animated control surfaces, fully independent suspension, trim animation, opening passenger doors, rolling wheels, animated thrust reversers with reverser block doors, detailed textures, full night lighting, ground service vehicles and more. This model includes all 9 model types, such as winglet designs and eyebrow windows. Model design by Hiroshi Igami. Flight dynamics design by Nick Wilkinson, with assistance from David Biggar. (VC is not included in this file) Master textures by Kyle Schurb.

However, it never went into combat, because
