Alphasim F-84F Blank Textures
Alphasim F-84F Blank Textures
Alphasim F-84F Blank Textures (Category: FSX > Military)
12.11Mb (522 downloads)
These are textures for the Alphasim F-84F available as freeware from Simviation. They are primarily intended as a shortcut for other painters who want to make a great-looking F-84 in the markings of their favorite squadron. The textures have been tested in both FS9 and FSX-SP2. They were developed from the paint kit available from Virtavia and are supplied in two flavors. The Bare textures contain only the standard stencilling applied to all aircraft, but are otherwise completely blank. The Delivery textures add standard USAF markings to the bare metal, needing only a tail-number, buzz-number and unit-specific markings.

Alphasim F-84F Textures Replacements (Category: FSX > Military)
21.32Mb (781 downloads)
These are textures for the Alphasim F-84F available as freeware from Simviation. They are not new textures, but replacements for the default bare-metal textures supplied with the model. They were developed from the paint kit available from Virtavia and will transform the tired-looking grey jets into silvery swept-wing fighters from the 1950s. The textures are in 32-bit .BMP format and have been tested in both FS9 and FSX-SP2. As long as you have a working copy of the Thunderstreak, whether the original FS2004 version or an FSX port-over, these textures will make your jet as fun to look at as it is to fly.

This is an update for FSX of the DC-4 by Jens B. Kristensen. I have added the rest of the wheels; corrected the contact points; changed the size of the GPS; added a trim gauge to both panels; added a more modern autopilot; changed the touchdown effect; and tweeked the flight dynamics. This is only the passenger model and includes the radar model, it does not included the cargo model. I tried to separate all the passenger paints from the cargo paints; there are 20 paints of this aircraft. Whole aircraft included.

RAF Hutton Cranswick, UK (Category: FSX > Scenery)
4.80Mb (290 downloads)
RAF Hutton Cranswick opened in January 1942 as a fighter airfield within No. 12 Group RAF. Unusually for the time its three runways were concrete "from new", many airfields (particularly fighter airfields) were initially built with grass runways which were later upgraded to concrete. Many squadrons rotated through the airfield including 610, 19, 308 (City of Kraków), 316 (City of Warsaw), 195, 306 (City of Torun), 302 (City of Poznan), 315 (City of Deblin), 234, 168 and No. 170 Squadron RAF. From December 1943, the Anti-Aircraft Co-operation 291 Squadron was formed at the airfield for target towing and similar uses. Whilst in use by 291 other fighter squadrons continued to rotate through including 401, 403, 412, 441, 442, 443 (all flying Supermarine Spitfires) and 439 using Hawker Typhoons. The final unit to operate from Hutton Cranswick was No. 124 Squadron RAF using Spitfire IXs. The station closed in 1946 and has reverted back to farm land, an industrial site now stands were the tech site was situated and the tower became a house. Source:Wikipedia
