XV214 The RAF has 30 C.Mk3 stretched versions of the C130H.
This modification, in 1980, added an extra 15 feet of fuselage,
which increased the volume of the cargo compartment by 37%.

intervention was to prevent this becoming a reality and to this
day TSR2 remains a continued source of facination. Its performance
on cancellation had exceeded that expected at that time of the
