Philippine Air Force is receiving delivery of it's first Airbus/EADS/Casa C-295M of 3 orders, a twin-turboprop tactical military transport aircraft manufactured by Airbus Military in Spain. . The C-295 made its maiden flight in 1998. The first order came from the Spanish Air Force. The C-295 is now (2011) in service with the Armed Forces of more than 10 countries. More than 80 C295s have been contracted. As a tactical transport aircraft, the C295 offers high maneuverability and excellent qualities for low-altitude flying. In addition, it has been widely tested in all kinds of aerial deployments: launching SAR rafts, emergency equipment, and parachutists. The CASA 295M is being considered as a contender for the replacement of the Canadian Armed Forces DHC-5 Buffalo fleet.

The Sikorsky VS-44 NC41881 (c/n 4403) 'Excambian' was the second of three VS-44s produced by Sikorsky. Construction of the three planes occurred from 1940 to 1942. The VS-44 was the last fixed-wing plane built by Sikorsky. It held the speed record for crossing the Atlantic by flying boats, in both directions. This FSX package is a compilation of all the four great VS-44s George Diemer designed and built for FS2004. The VS-44 will work in both FS2004 and FSX, as all the gauges George Diemer used are compatible in both FSX and FS2004. There are four textures and two different models with slightly different VC and 2D panels, all of them reworked and enhanced. In addition, smoke effect has been added to the aircraft as well. Fitted with Thomas Ruth's A340 VC, and all textures except the House Colors, are by Sky Level Textures, Model and House Colors by Project Airbus.

My soundset for twin engined aircraft which use Jacobs R-755 engines. Mainly for the freeware Alphasim T50 Bobcat but will work in others. All engine sounds have been edited looped and trimmed by myself but some generic FSX sounds (flaps, wind, rumble etc) have been employed. The internal sounds are entirely from a real T50 flight. This is a WIP inasmuch as you can't fly this single engine and the startup external isn't perfect. All engine sounds are in stereo 16 bit. If she won't start initially just crack the throttle to about 10%. Let me know what you think.
