Since then, it has been the most successful single aircraft in the history of aerobatics, winning a rang of individual, team, European and world aerobatic championships. Indeed, the type is still used by the Russian aerobatic team, who claim that its slightly greater stability in manoeuvres make it more suitable for the strict 'Aresti' in competitions.
