Originally created by Manuele Villa for FS2004 (No VC). Textures for all five gliders in the original package (types A, B & C) updated for FSX in the dds format by Henry Rastouil (2) and Ross McLennan (3). This German assault glider, developed by Deutsche Forschungsanstalt fur Segelflug (DFS)/ German Research Institute for Sailplane Flight, was used for the first time during the operation against the Belgian Fort Eben-Emael near Maastricht (May 10, 1940). They were also used during the Krete invasion (Maleme, 1941), in the Western Desert and on the Russian Front for transport purposes. Were used to deliver Otto Skorzeny's commandos against the Gran Sasso mountain-top hotel to rescue the imprisoned Mussolini (Sept 12, 1943). The Royal Italian Air Force (Regia Aeronautica) received almost 20 DFS 230's, but they were used only for training. UPDATED FSX PACKAGE (September 2010): Also includes a JU52 Military Version from the JU52 Factory (Managing Director: Pierino Primavesi) as the AI tow aircraft updated for FSX. I am very proud to present this detailed repaint of the Project Opensky A330-343X, registration AZ-HQB, of Saudi Arabian Airlines. This is one of Saudi's first 4 343X models of the A330. All were delivered this year (2010) new from Airbus. Delivery of this airframe, registration HZ-AQB, was taken by Saudi Arabian on June 28, 2010. Saudi Arabian Airlines is the national airline of Saudi Arabia, based in Jeddah. It provides scheduled service to over 70 destinations in the Middle East, Africa, Asia, Europe and North America. This particular airframe has been recently flying to Istanbul (LTBA) from Jeddah (OEJN). This repaint has many custom textures. All windows are hand-painted, 3D with window shades. The night windows textures and other night textures are custom as well. Engine textures, engine fans, fuselage shading and tail textures are all custom. Also, the wheels and tires are custom and hand drawn. The main gear wheels are as real as I could get them. All repainted textures in this package are 32-bit with no mipmaps for best clarity and quality. This is a complete installation package; version 2004.8.3 of the Project Opensky A330-300 V2 model is included. Repaint by Jeffrey S. Bryner, Model by Project Opensky. 2D panel (no VC) for the spy aircraft Lockheed Martin U2S Dragon Lady. This is the latest version of this aircraft mainly used during the cold war and still in service. Panel inspired by pictures found on the internet and slightly adapted (autopilot). All original gauges in xml for a perfect compatibility with FSX. Please read instructions in the readme.txt file.

This is Alpha Sim's freeware P-80 Shooting Star For Flight Simulator X. This is 45-8490 / FT-490 currently on display at the Castle AFB Museum, Atwater, California. She wears a single MiG-15 kill marking under the cockpit .On November 8, 1950, the first jet-vs-jet aerial combat took place between a P-80 Shooting Star and a MIG-15 in the area in northwest Korea later known as "MIG Alley." Several days prior to the fateful day, MIG-15 jets had been encountered by U.S. AF F-51Ds on patrol near the Yalu River area. On the afternoon of 8 November, Lt. Russell Brown piloting his Shooting Star of the 16th Fighter Squadron, out maneuvered two attacking MIG-15s, tacked onto the tail of one of them, and poured .50 caliber fire into him until the MIG exploded.
