FS2004 Comet C4 RAF Transport Command Textures only. 1962 The first of five Comet C4 delivered to the RAF in June 1962, XR395 is shown here in the original variation of the RAF livery featuring a highly polished finish and a silver painted fin. Comets were frequently used for Royal and other VIP flights, the last operated by XR397 was to transport the Queen Mother on an official tour of Iran in April 1975. Retired at the beginning of July 1975 this aircraft was sold to Dan Air at the end of August becomming G-BDIT and served until finally withdrawn on 19 October 1980.
