FS2002/FS2004 Savoia Marchetti SM79 SPARVIERO. The SM79 was the most famous version of a line of tri-motor Italian bombers. It was christened Sparviero (Sparrow Hawk) but it's crewmen called it Gobbo (Hunchback). This sturdy hump-backed aircraft dated back to 1934 and didn't look like much, but it provided valuable service in all Italian theaters, even in the most difficult conditions. Originally created as a bomber, it really came into it's own as a torpedo-bomber. The image here is from the Spanish Civil War, hence the colours are not those of WWII. FS2002/FS2004 Fairey Barracuda Mk.V. The Fairey Barracuda was a British carrier-borne torpedo- and dive-bomber used during the Second World War. The first of its type to be fabricated entirely from metal. It was introduced to the Fleet Air Arm as a replacement for the Fairey Swordfish and Fairey Albacore biplanes. It is notable for its role in attacking the German battleship Tirpitz and infamous for its unusual appearance when the undercarriage was extended and wings folded. Final version of the Barracuda was the Mk V which replaced the Merlin powerplant with a Rolls-Royce Griffon and featured various aerodynamic changes. The Mk V did not take to the air until 16 November 1944, and Fairey built only 37 before the war in Europe was over. By Kazunori Ito. 3.5MB

FS2004/FSX Focke-Wulf FW58-BW "Weihe" Floatplane With the creation of the new Luftwaffe, a fast, light and economical multi-purpose aircraft was necessary for the satisfactory re-training of pilots for the faster combat planes and training as gunners, bombers and radio operators, and in 1934, Focke Wulf supplied the first prototype. This model depicts a twin-engined Focke-Wulf FW58-C "Weihe" rescue floatplane, powered by 2x240 Argus 10C inverted V-8 engines. GMAX model by A.F.Scrub.
