FS2004 Consolidated P2Y-2 "Ranger" The P2Y-2 entered service in 1933. The P2Y family saw service until 1941 when they were replaced with the famous "Catalina". This FSDSv3 model has the usual animations, landing and nav lights, and opening gun stations with pop-up guns. The VC has moving flight controls and active instruments. Experamental aircraft made entireley of 2002 series Aluminium, for purpose of testing and developing of airframe design. 2002 series Aluminium is a synthetic material with light alloy characteristics. The material was found to be to brittle at cold temperatures, and displayed thermoplastic beahavior at warmer temperatures making it unsuitable for airframe design. 2.3MB
