CFS Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG 21 Fishbed in Egyptian Air Force (EAF) Livery. The MiG-21 was used extensively in the Middle East conflicts of the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s by the air forces of Egypt, Syria and Iraq. The MiG-21 first encountered Israeli Mirage IIICs on 14 November 1964, but it wasn't until 14 July 1966 that the first MiG-21 was shot down. Another six Syrian MiG-21s were shot down by Israeli Mirages on 7 April 1967. The MiG-21 would also face F-4 Phantom IIs and A-4 Skyhawks, but was later outclassed by the more modern F-15 Eagle and F-16 Fighting Falcon, which were acquired by Israel beginning in the mid-1970s. I have included a damage profile for use with CFS1, with armament of GSh-23 twin barrelled 23mm cannon, rockets and bombs, and repainted as MiG 21 Fishbed Egyptian Air Force, tan/green/grey camouflaged. The MiG-17 is a refined version of the famous MiG 15 of the Korean War. Although similar in appearance to the MiG-15, the MiG-17 has more sharply swept wings, is about three feet longer, reheat fitted and most of the MiG-15`s bad manners ameliorated. 2020 FSX native update, for FSX/P3D; just the tanked and clean model-the armed versions arms look a bit hokey. FSX/P3D v3,v4 IIyushin_Il-4 The DB-3F was redesignated Il-4 in March 1942. The most notable change was the addition of larger defensive guns in the turret, using the 12.7 mm (0.5 in) UBT machine gun in place of the earlier 7.62 mm (0.3 in) weapons. One of the most versatile aircraft of the Second World War was the German Fieseler Fi 156 'Storch' (stork). It was produced in five nations and used from 1937 to 1970 by over two-dozen nations. The Flying Heritage Collectoin of Everett, WA has one of the few wartime Storches still airworthy. It is flown for their "Luftwaffe Day" each summer. It was manufactured in Germany in 1943 was used by the Luftwaffe in Occupied Europe and on the Russian Front. This texture file represents this appearance. This fits Tim "Piglet" Conrad's 2002/2004 Fi 156 Storch (fi156_fs.zip) as adapted for FSX by Erik "hertzie" Hertzberger.
