The Focke-Wulf Ta-283 was a German swept-wing ramjet-powered interceptor aircraft during World War II. The project was developed at the same time as the Focke-Wulf Super Lorin and remained unbuilt before the surrender of Nazi Germany. This is an FSX update for the TA-283, originally designed for FS2002 by Stephen Robinson. Amazingly, the aircraft works perfectly in FSX, but this update features both a revised VC and 2D panel with all German authentic gauges as well as corrected smoke, new burner effect and additional camera views. Thanks to Steve Robinson for the awesome original model, to Hauke Keitel for the Kedi gauges,to the unknown designers of the other great gauges and to Erwin Welker for the camera views. One of the most versatile aircraft of the Second World War was the German Fieseler Fi 156 'Storch' (stork). It was produced in five nations and used from 1937 to 1970 by over two-dozen nations. The Flying Heritage Collectoin of Everett, WA has one of the few wartime Storches still airworthy. It is flown for their "Luftwaffe Day" each summer. It was manufactured in Germany in 1943 was used by the Luftwaffe in Occupied Europe and on the Russian Front. This texture file represents this appearance. This fits Tim "Piglet" Conrad's 2002/2004 Fi 156 Storch (fi156_fs.zip) as adapted for FSX by Erik "hertzie" Hertzberger.

This is a fix for the Sikorsky S-38. Some simmers seem to have problems with the aircraft leaning left while standing still on water. Also, the aircraft is not controllable during take-off from land. Sorry for the inconvenience. Fix by Michael Pook.

FSX/FS2004 McDonnell-Douglas MD-11F repaint textures for the real world SkyLease Cargo N951AR. Miami based Sky Lease Cargo is affiliated with Centurion Cargo and Cielos Airlines. This aircraft does not share any of the features of Centurion Cargo's liveries, because she is completely white. For the freeware SMS Overland MD-11 with P&W 4460 engines, which you must have previously installed in FSX. I installed the (SMS-MD-11_Dutch_Package.zip) with VC which works well with this repaint. Also includes engine exhaust smoke coordinates which you can add to your "aircraft.cfg" if you wish. Screenshots enclosed. Easy installation. Repaint by Tom Tiedman.

FSX/FS2004 Yakovlev Air-7 vintage racer The "AIR-7", was a tandem-seat air racer / courier aircraft. It was inspired by contemporary American air racers such as early Granville Brothers (Gee Bee) machines and had a fair resemblance to them as a low-wing monoplane with landing gear in streamlined trouser fairings. It was powered by a Shvetsov M-22 nine-cylinder radial engine driving a two-bladed propeller. The M-22 was a copy of the British Bristol Jupiter radial, providing 360 kW (480 HP). It was of mixed metal-wood construction and featured overwing struts, as well as bracing wires, to permit a lighter wing. The AIR-7 performed its initial flight on 19 November 1932 and quickly set a national speed record of 325 KPH (202 MPH).GMAX mdl by A.F.Scrub

"imp" means imperfect, as other mesh I have already processed is of areas that have very little vegetation cover - over the land, or has large urban areas. This "imp" mesh will include some slight discrepancies of altitude (in the case of forested areas - by a magnitude sometimes of +15 metres-depending on how tall the trees are, in the jungle or forest canopy) over urban areas, or areas with a lot of vegetation cover - due to the limitations of the ASTER satellites infra red scanning cameras, and the software used to process the DEM data. Areas where there is little vegetation cover, or non urban areas, the terrain should have truer values. But I feel this ASTER DEM data is so good - why let it all go to waste - especially flying over lovely Pacific islands? So you FSX users out there will have to take all this into account when using this mesh. Grateful thanks to ERSDAC, and NASA for making this data freely available to the public.
