This is an update for the Yak-23 Flora by Kazunori Ito, converted to FSX native by Flywheel J. Wolff, now including three new camera views and a more realistic VC and 2D panel with now all authentic Russian gauges. Flywheel adapted the gauges and the original 2D panel I used in my previous 2013 FSX update and now, in retrospect, I feel that should be corrected. VC and 2D panel don't match at all and some of the gauges I used back then don't even belong in a jet plane, particularly in such a nice FSX native model, so thanks to Flywheel for his conversion. Also included are automatic burner and exhaust smoke effects and now there are visible gauges in outside view as well. I've also slightly tweaked the flight dynamics for better take off and manoeuverability. New thumbnails and Empire sound included as well. This is the whole package although I've not changed any fuselage texture files but most simmers don't like to play around with installing new stuff into an existing model. Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport (ICAO: ZGGG) is the major airport of Guangzhou (Canton), Guangdong province, in the PR China. The ICAO code is inherited from the former airport closed in 2004. In FSX it is shown as it was in 2004. In 2014 a third runway was added, and in 2018 Terminal 2 was opened. This scenery shows the airport as it is in 2021. The airport is situated at NN23 23.527' / E113 18.587 at an altitude of 15m. All three runways are equipped with ILS in both directions. This scenery is part of a series of ‘China International Airports’ sceneries. All sceneries of this series are designed with the latest edition of ‘Airport Design Editor’ from ScruffyDuck Software, based on satellite images from Google Earth and Yandex Maps.

There is also photo evidence this unit (although not this aircraft) employed the underwing W.Gr. 21 rockets. The .dp file reflects this. There is no "standard" Bf 109G-6, as the production run spanned 2 years, it underwent many modifications and updates along the way. So each model we have created has it's own unique features. Pstrany developed the models using Paul Rebuffat's Messerschmitt model - with permission - as a starting framework and updated the shape, and added a plethora of details, new parts, and ideas. Pstrany also developed the models for the drop tanks, weapons and racks. Captain Kurt created paints for each, the 2D instrument panel, the individual .dp files, the air files and the aircraft.cfg files. Mav SCASM edited each model so that they have animated wing slats, drop tanks, and other features, as well as optimizing models for the best possible framerates. Mav also developed the idea for the 2d panel to be offset for the Revi gunsight to match the CFS2 reticle. We have all benefited from the assistance and guidance of others in the community.
