LONG AWAITED IL-8 WITH NIGHT COCKPIT WINDOW TRANSPARENCY FIX Fixes to Edgar Guinart’s port from the original Russian model included the following: - Making the plane flyable at night from the 3D panel - Adding VOR controls from Edgar Guinart’s ALBA IL-18X model - Fixing the broken VOR OBS control, now both course and direction indication works - Installing a more authentic autopilot panel (from AN12). The original autopilot is kept in one of the unused windows If someone prefers to install that one, even though its rather flaky and lacks full functionality. - Adding the engine start 2D panel from Edgar Guinart’s ALBA IL-18 model - Fixing the stuck mouse acceleration issue caused by one of the BI panel switches which made 1 degree increments impossible. To get times 10 click acceleration now use right mouse key clicks on the VOR and Autopilot panels. - Aligning engine smoke with the engine exhausts - Moving the Pilot panel to its traditional place. Use the standard F10 and F9 keys to select the 2D/3D cockpit views Read the included Word Doc please.

The Kawasaki Ki-61 Hien ("flying swallow") is a Japanese World War II fighter aircraft used by the Imperial Japanese Army Air Service. The Japanese Army designation was "Army Type 3 Fighter" . Allied pilots initially believed Ki-61s were Messerschmidt Bf 109s and later an Italian aircraft, which led to the Allied reporting name of "Tony", assigned by the United States War Department. It was the only mass-produced Japanese fighter of the war to use a liquid-cooled inline V engine. Over 3,000 Ki-61s were produced. Initial prototypes saw action over Yokohama during the Doolittle Raid on 18 April 1942, and continued to fly combat missions throughout the war.

Massawa International (HHMS) for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 (Fs9). Massawa, Eritrea. Eritrea, is a country in the Horn of Africa. Built in the early 2000's and opened in '03, this airport missed inclusion in Fs9; the old unpaved airport was used. This field can accept the Heavies if needed, so you can take anything in or out of it. Also in this package is a landscape upgrade adding trees & shrubs, and a rotating beacon.

American Campaign Advanced Nav Upgrade (Category: CFS2 > Missions & Campaigns)
106.51Mb (679 downloads)
In this file: 1) Fitted the stock Amwerican aircraft with advanced navigation gear. (GPS and Autopilot) 2)Updated the Campaign Mission information to include LAT/LON Location and Runway/Heading information for bases and carriers. 3) Made some slight tweaks to the flight dynamics of the stock planes to make them perform according to spec and made these seperate aircraft from the shipped versions. 4)As a bonus- I created a set of German and British aircraft that represent (in my opinion) the best visual models I could find of these ships, all credits are in the file also. **included in a file marked reference fighters is detailed specs on each aircraft. 5)Another bonus- There is some very detailed explainations of gunstations in a file marked Gunstations Explained. I included this because I made some tweaks to help the wingmen perform better. (F4F-4 only) This was to give you the option of seeing for yourself, then alternately removing from the Wildcat only, or adding this adjustment to all the other planes in this mod. 6) This file contains a detailed "How to" that has step-by-step instructions for installation. (compiled as "program files folder"/all you do is drop.) 7)"How to's" includes: Explanations of changes made to the original planes and the why's. Also a section saying thank you to the originators of the CGI models. 8)'Wildcat Notes' has all my discoveries from my research on it's overall performance. Things such as, range at throttle/rpm settings, speeds at those settings, and mixture settings for every 2000 feet increment up 12,000 feet. There are a total of 10 birds: 3 American/4 British (3 actual but hurri IIB&C)/3 German.
