This campaign is a mostly historical commentary of the World War 2 exploits of the USS Essex. The US and Japanese task force compositions, ship names, dates, and most locations are as accurate as possible. In this campaign, the USN is on the offensive. Out of all the actions in which she participated, I chose a good, representative sampling of the major engagements of this great ship from her first action until near the end of the war in the Pacific. Random choice will have you flying either a fighter, dive bomber or a torpedo bomber or maybe as a wingman.

There are Nineteen (19) parts to download for GDEMv2 of Australia. ASTER GDEM Version 2 is a 30 metre definition DEM, its better than the version 1 data that ERSDAC, of Japan and NASA originally released, but it does have its limitations. GDEM has been obtained from a satellite that uses stereoscopic infrared scanning cameras, this brings with it problems in the resultant data.....where it sees the tops of trees, buildings etc, as the ground terrain. If you look at the jpg image with the terrain type errors shown as a graph, you will see that the only 'safe' terrain to use this data with - in FSX - is scrubland, or desert terrain. Its hopeless in defining the terrain in places like Europe - with all the artificial structures, (buildings) and different types of woodland, so any mesh I create from this data won't include areas like that....it will be more desert type terrain, and scrubland. I won't be doing Greenland because something about the ice around Greenland, (or any other land mass with ice) it creates false data. It does give enough fine data to reveal railway lines, and some roads though. This mesh has been made for FSX only. This is a conversion of the FS2002/4 CV440 by Greg Pepper & Tom Gibson to CFS2. The panels have also been converted as much as available gauges allow. She is wearing the skin of a MATS medical transport. The AIR, CFG and DP are mine.

Config update for Tim Conrads L-29 Delfin (or for L-39 Albatross by Vit Storch / Dough Bree design beta version). I have updated almost everything. Weights (empty, max take off) - position of weights - flight dynamics - volume and position of tanks - engine parameters (position, fuel flow, time of reaction, thrust) - contact points (more exactly defined and added some more) - eye position and few more details - there is also updated panel.cfg file in this pack. It makes instrument panel more accurate.
