FS2004 Viscount 708 Janus Airways Textures only. Janus Airways of Lydd in Kent bought the three remaining Viscount 700 series from BAF who had taken over Inter City Airlines. Only two entered service and spent the summer season 1984 on coach air services across the English Channel. They were the last two passenger V.700 in the UK. In fact this aircraft made the last ever V.700 flight from and to the UK with a round trip from Lydd to Beauvais on 30th October 1984. Bought to suppliment Heralds already in use it was decided at the end of the year not to continue with the Viscounts and both were sold to MMM Aero Services of Zaire. One should hardly be surprised that the world's most prolific manufacturer of commercial aircraft is also the producer of the world's most popular jetliner. The 737 became the best-selling commercial jetliner worldwide when orders for it hit 1,831 in June 1987 (surpassing Boeing's own 727 as the previous champ). However, it wasn't always that ways in the first few years of production, there were so few orders that Boeing considered cancelling the program.
