The von Braun Interceptor was a VTO (vertical takeoff) rocket powered bird designed to take on the incoming allied bombers, kinda like the ME-163 Komet, unfortunately she never flew. CFS2 This is a repaint of the F4U-5N Corsair. It was part of the VMF(N)-513 "Flying Nightmares" during the Korean War, this plane was stationed at Itami Airbase, Japan in 1950. I have added a new .dp file that includes the radar pod, cannons, and rockets. This file includes a scenedb folder that includes the radar pod. The Radome was created by Graham at VB planes, I did however repaint it to match the color scheme of this aircraft. Thanks for the fine work on the radome! Rob Renner. 1.6MB

Additional Gates – Miramar “TOP GUN” Flight School circa 1986 (KNKX) This is to be used with AFCAD. adds more then 150 parking spaces, four of which are designated heavy spaces. This file represents what Miramar TOP GUN flight school, “Fighter Town - USA” might have looked like during the 1980’s. As you can see from the enclosed screenshots (before and after) there were no parking spots or gates at (KNKX) from the default MSFS2002 program. The parking spots were assigned using 1994 government satellite images. While the position of the aircraft is fairly accurate, they are not 100% correct. The base is capable of housing more then 200+ aircraft, but there are never at one time that many located there. Currently (year 2002) this base has been taken over by the US Marines and is now called Miramar MCAS. Author: Josh Liste. 74K

FS2004 Freeport, CA Reservoir. The Freeport, CA Reservoir is a 3 million gallon water reservoir located about 2 miles South of Sacramento Executive airport (KSAC) and is a prominent landmark used by the tower and pilots on approach to the facility. The tank is of welded construction and was built in the late 1950's. It is 140' tall, 126' in diameter and stands on 27 support columns. As with my 2Q3 - Yolo County Airport, this has been done partly as a means of learning more about the ins and outs of GMAX and also to improve the Sacramento, CA area. Fred Zealor. 629K
