FS98/CFS1 Boeing 247-D Lufthansa The Boeing Model 247 was an early United States airliner, considered the first such aircraft to fully incorporate advances such as all-metal (anodized aluminum) semi-monocoque construction, a fully cantilevered wing and retractable landing gear. Other advanced features included control surface trim tabs, an autopilot and deicing boots for the wings and tailplane. Four Boeing 247 were operated by Deutsche Lufthansa as a fast passenger transport, between 1934 to 1945. Original FS5 model creator: Rich Boehringer 1996. All reworked to FS98/CFS1 with new textures, damage profile and moving parts: Edmundo Abad 2010. Also special thanks to Juan Concha & Roberto Ibarra, former FACH officers, by the great provided information for the development of this virtual model.

This is an update for FSX of the Tu-134A by George Sukhykh. I have given it a panel, and different sound; put in all the wheels; corrected the scrape points; and have redone the flight dynamics. The landing lights don't show from inside the cockpit. This is the whole aircraft. No VC.

FSX/P3D/FS2004 Air Virginia Fairchild Metro II 1982 Textures
FSX/P3D/FS2004 Air Virginia Fairchild Metro II 1982 Textures
2.02Mb (351 downloads)
This is a repaint of the Fairchild Metro II in Air Virginia 1982 colors. . Lynchburg based Air Virginia was formed by Rodney H. Jaeger in January 1979, and started operations with daily flights to Washington DC. By the mid-1980s they had a route system that stretched from Newark to North Carolina, and west to Ohio, and its fleet had grown to include several Swearingen Metroliners and 3 BAe 748s. Unfortunately the airline folded in 1988. This repaint was tested on FSX-SE. It should work on FSX, FS2004 & P3Dv1-3. The freeware Fairchild Metro III by Jon Murchison is needed for this repaint

Swanton Morley was a new station planned under the RAF expansion scheme but not completed to the same standard before the start of the Second World War. It was part of No. 2 Group in Bomber Command until December 1944 when it was given over to 100 Group - the RAF unit responsible for countering German defences against the British strategic bombing - as they needed another airfield close to their HQ at Bylaugh Hall. On 4 July 1942, American and British airmen took off from this station as part of the first combined bombing raid of World War II. No 226 Squadron had been tutoring the US 15 Bombardment Squadron. Both Winston Churchill and General Eisenhower were at RAF Swanton Morley for this mission, which saw six crews from 15th Bombardment Squadron fly a raid with six crews from the RAF, using Boston light bombers belonging to No. 226 Squadron RAF. The raid was made at low level against German airfields in the Netherlands. During World War II the station was home to the Bomber Support Development Unit (BSDU) of No. 100 Group RAF. After World War II the station was home to No 1 Air Signaller's School and later to the Central Servicing Development Establishment (CSDE) and the Maintenance Analysis and Computing Establishment (MACE). From June 1953 to 1995 the station was also used by 611 Volunteer Gliding School, when the station was listed for closure under Options for Change. The station held popular airshows during the 1980s. The station closed in 1995 and was converted to an Army base now known as Robertson Barracks. Source: Wikipedia
