Welcome to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon! This scenery is a mostly fictitious representation of what the North Rim might look like of it had been developed like the South rim. A new airport (KKPA, Kaibab Plateau Airport) is the centerpiece. It sits at 8,730 ft MSL so density altitude is a real issue. Runway 17/35 is 6,500ft long so biz jets can get in and out safely. A new resort sits atop the ridge to the east [Eagle's Nest]. There is a helipad for access. An NDB makes finding it easier [AZ95 220.9 kHz]. Or you can just follow the traffic on the access road that branches off from highway 67 just south of the airport. To the north I have added a gravel strip to Jacob Lake where 67 joins 89A. Runway 14/32 is 3000 ft long and sits at 7900 ft MSL. An NDB [AZ93 393 kHz] is included. At the south end of Highway 67 sits the North Rim Visitor Center. There is a helipad on the roof for those who like rotary wing challenges. The NDB is AZ94 at 423.4 kHz. The entire length of Highway 67 is represented with traffic going both ways. You will see air traffic from KGCN at the South Rim and traffic between KKPA and Jacob Lake.

Yosemite National Park has to be one of the worlds most beautiful natural expanses on Earth, as Lonely Planet puts it “Yosemite garners the devotion of all who enter. From the waterfall-striped granite walls buttressing emerald-green Yosemite Valley to the skyscraping giant sequoias catapulting into the air at Mariposa Grove, the place inspires a sense of awe and reverence”. Right now not many will be able to visit Yosemite, so in solidarity with our Californian desk pilot friends, I’m happy to bring you all the stunning Yosemite Valley created by VFXSimmer.

This is a repaint of the Tu-154B-2 in Guyana Airways colors. The freeware Tu-154B-2 by Project Tupolev is needed for this repaint. Guyana Airways was one of only three airlines that flew the Tupolev Tu-154 in the Western Hemisphere. Cubana and Aeronica of Nicaragua were the other two. Guyana operated a total of three. This repaint depicts 8R-GGA which was leased by Guyana Airways from 1986 to 1988, when it was then sent to Cubana. Textures are 32bit dds & DXT5 dds. This repaint was tested on FSX-SE. It should work on FSX & P3D v1-3.

The "AI_Landsberg-Airbase_FS9.zip" package is the SECOND part of this airbase. This package by Klaus Jone installs several AI planes, a Traffic File and an AFCAD. All the AI models are also included. In this zip file "AI_Landsberg-Airbase_FS9_enhancements", I have included TWO files which create a more exact airbase polygon for ETSA Landsberg. Just compare the screenshots...BEFORE and AFTER the installation of my two VTP files... The alteration is obvious immediately when you switch to TOP-DOWN view of the airbase. Or go for a flight round the area. I designed these two files for my own enjoyment of Landsberg.
