FS2004/FSX Boeing P-12b biplane fighter The P-12 was Boeing's first successful fighter.It may seem odd to some, but in the era between WWI and WWII, Boeing was actually known for producing fine pursuit aircraft. For power, the P-12B used the 450 hp Pratt & Whitney R-1340-7 Wasp. The Army Air Corps received its first P-12 in February 1929 and the last P-12F in May 1932. FS2004/FSX Yak-9U Fighter. The Yak-9U was the second generation of Yak-9s. It introduced a redesigned airframe , a new wing of increased span and area, and the more powerful VK-107 engine with 1,230 kW (1,650 hp). The top speed of 700 km/h (435 mph) at 5,600 m (18,370 ft) was faster than any production fighter aircraft in the world at that time. The Yak-9UV and Yak-9P were postwar versions.
