The C.202 Folgore was a World War II fighter aircraft built by Macchi Aeronautica and operated by the Regia Aeronautica (Royal Italian Air Force). Considered one of the most beautiful fighters to fly with wartime Axis forces, the C.202 was a development of the earlier C.200 Saetta, with a more powerful German Daimler-Benz DB 601 engine and with an extremely streamlined fuselage. Undoubtedly the best wartime fighter to serve in large numbers with the Regia Aeronautica,the Folgore operated on all fronts in which Italy was involved. The '202 went into service with the Regia Aeronautica in July 1941 and immediately proved to be an effective and deadly dogfighter. VC only. The Fiat C.R.42 was a single-seat fighter biplane which served primarily in Italy's Regia Aeronautica just before and during World War II. The aircraft was produced by the Turin firm, and also served, in smaller numbers, with the air forces of Belgium, Sweden and Hungary. With more than 1,800 built, it was the most widely produced Italian aircraft to take part in World War II. The Fiat C.R.42 was the last of the Fiat biplane fighters to see combat and represented the epitome of the type. RAF Intelligence praised its exceptional manoeuvrability, further noting that the plane was immensely strong.The Fiat C.R.42 made its combat debut with the Belgian Air Force, over Belgium on 10th May 1940. The Yakovlev Yak-11 (Moose) was a trainer aircraft used by the Soviet Air Force and other Soviet-influenced air forces from 1947 until 1962.Update of presented LET C-11 / Yak-11. Due to its Yak-3 lineage, the Yak-11 has recently seen widespread popularity among warbird enthusiasts. Souped-up versions of the Yak-11 can be frequently seen at air races.
