FS2004 Sikorsky X2 Technology Demonstrator. Experimental aircraft combining several tech- nologies to produce a vehicle with low speed helicopter characteristics but capable of cruising at 250 knots. Aircraft recently broke the helicopter speed record. Complete package except sound. Aircraft will reach 250 knots in FS2004 yet flies like a well- behaved helicopter at lower speeds. By David Allan.

FS2004 Boeing 221A Monomail The 221A Monomail was a major advance in aircraft design, being one of the first all metal, stressed skin monoplanes built. Despite it's advances the 221A'a layout harked back to the biplane era, with the cabin forward, and open cockpit aft. Lack of a constant speed propeller prevented the Monomail's true success, as better twins were introduced by the time C-S props appeared. Only one 221A saw brief service between Chicago-Cheyenne. This is an FSX update for the FS2004 fictional concept airliner Honyaku. Included are four passenger and two cargo models of six different airlines.The package features a 2D panel and a new FSX compatibel VC configuration. New smoke and burner flame effects have been added and some FDE corrections had to be made as well to make the model flyable in FSX. Original model for FS2004 by Christian Drawz, Emirates livery by Andreas Koch, all FSX updates and new 2D panel by Michael Pook.

Barra Airport in Scotland (also known as Barra Beachport) is the unique airport which operates scheduled passenger flights on a beach. You can see British Airways, Flybe planes,( operated by Loganair) land on the sand. It's one of the most dangerous airport in the world. There is a small terminal, a car park, and 3 runways with red poles to sign where runway starts and finishes. Flights are operated in most of the time in the day, but sometimes you might find a nightime flight.It operates when there's low tide, when the wind blows also just a bit or there's high tide, all flights are cancelled. Usually are operated flights with a DHC 6 Twin Otter, which is one of a very few planes can land on the sand.
