FSX Fairchild C-82 Packet with fixed VC
FSX Fairchild C-82 Packet with fixed VC
FSX Fairchild C-82 Packet with fixed VC (Category: FSX > Vintage)
22.66Mb (4125 downloads)
The C-82 Packet was a twin-engined, twin-boom cargo aircraft designed and built by Fairchild Aircraft. It was used briefly by the United States Army Air Forces and the successor United States Air Force following World War II. The aircraft was named as a tribute to the Packet Boats that hauled mail, passengers and freight in Europe and its colonies. This package features a VC fix as the original VC by Daisuke Yamamoto as well as the FSX update by Michael E. Roberts displayed a major grafic VC issue (window struts hanging in the air, holes in the cockpit). The VC also has a lot more gauges now like radar and GPS and so looks more like the real C-82 panel. Other than the grafic issues the VC looks actually very detailed. New smoke effect has been added, too. Original model by Yamamoto and FSX update by Michael E. Roberts, VC fix, new VC configuration and smoke effect by Michael Pook.

Boeing 747-400 2d Panel
Boeing 747-400 2d Panel (Category: FSX > Panels)
10.58Mb (2247 downloads)
This is a new panel for the Boeing 747-400 based on photos of actual flight decks and on the panel designed by Ken Mitchell in the early 2000s. Most of the more complex gauges are modified default gauges with extensive bug fixing and replacement of obsolete gauges. This panel works well with the default Boeing 747 and also with others. It is specifically designed for high resolution and will probably not work on 640X480 screens. All gauges are in XML so although it has been tested for FSX it will probably work on FS9. This panel actually works "out-of-the-box" without issues. All panel labels are also clearly readable.

The original Norwegian Ca.310 order, including options, was for 24 aircraft, but after seeing that the aircraft did not perform well, they refused to accept any further plane after receiving the first three units. For the rest of the aircraft, Norway requested better performances to be achieved. Caproni developed the Ca.312 version using Piaggio P.XVI R.C.35 engines instead the anemic Piaggio P.VII . After assessing the prototype, Belgium requested 16 aircrafts, but German Wehrmacht was quicker and occupied both countries in 1940 before the machines were delivered. All 40 planes built were used as transports by Italy's Regia Aeronautica.
