Boeing 747-8F Jade Cargo package (Category: FSX > Civil Jets)
37.86Mb (1707 downloads)
Boeing 747-8F Jade Cargo package with enhanced VC. Jade Crago operated out of Shenzen, China between 2004 and 2011. It operated 6 Boeing 747-400 aircraft. 3 are now in storage and 3 leased to other operators. Project Opensky native FSX Boeing 747-8F assembled and upgraded for FSX with the developed B747 VC (virtual 3d cockpit) from Alejandro Rojas Lucenda (Manual included). This is the Project Opensky FSX native Boeing 747-400 model, and includes ground cargo servicing, stairs (FSX - Go to Views - Instrument Panel -Posky Utility), opening nose section and more. Included CF engine sounds from BrandonG, with realistic jet whine to make your flight sound great. Thank you to Project Opensky for their contributions to the worldwide community of flight simulation. I have included the excellent Jade textures by Stefan Bree. Also includes the Boeing 747 VC textures upgrade. This give a much clearer 747 interior virtual cockpit look. Assembled and edited for FSX by Chris Evans.

FSX Native Alphasim Supermarine Swift Package
FSX Native Alphasim Supermarine Swift Package
45.41Mb (2391 downloads)
Descended from the Attacker via the first swept wing British jet, the type 510, the Swift was the RAF's first swept wing fighter. The type suffered from a protracted development, further exacerbated by labor and material shortages in austere post-war England. Attempts to speed production of this and other aircraft through legislation (super-priority) may have raised production rates marginally, but did little to cure the types problematic high altitude idiosyncrasies. In any event, the Hunter, which shared many of the Swifts woe's, proved the more equal animal. Much maligned, the Swift was relegated to low-level tactical reconnaissance. Once pilots got 'round the types reputation, the aircraft was found to be a superb low altitude recce platform, fast, strong and maneuverable, winning NATO tactical reconnaissance competition in the late 50's, as well as finding use in other 'OBJ's for the air staff- like photographing golf courses!

RAF Balderton, UK
RAF Balderton, UK (Category: FSX > Scenery)
0.74Mb (235 downloads)
RAF Balderton is a former Royal Air Force station located 2.0 miles (3.2 km) south of Newark-on-Trent, sandwiched between the now extinct Great Northern Railway (GNR) Bottesford-Newark line and the A1 road in Nottinghamshire, England. Opened in 1942, it was used by both the Royal Air Force and United States Army Air Forces. During the war it was used primarily as a troop carrier transport airfield and after for munitions storage before it was closed in 1957. With the facility released from military control, Balderton was returned to agriculture, the runway concrete disappearing as hardcore under the AI road improvements of the 1960s. At that time, the developed Al was routed west of the original road, over the eastern perimeter track of the airfield, before coming back to the east to bypass Balderton village and Newark. Gypsum open-pit mining has also taken its toll where quarrying has completely obliterated the airfield, with single track roads all that remain of the runway and perimeter track, and the occasional concrete runway end or pile of rubble. Today the remains of the airfield are located on private property being used as agricultural fields.
