FSX - SS ADVENTURE - A 1930s Tramp Steamer - Pilotable
(Category: FSX > Misc)
1.66Mb (3291 downloads)
The Adventure is an example of the kind of tramp steamer that played such a big part in the literature of the 1930s, from "King Kong" to "Terry and the Pirates". By an "amazing" coincidence, the Adventure is the sister ship to the Venture - the ship that sailed to Skull Island in King Kong. You can use the Adventure to conduct your own expedition to Skull Island. Or if you prefer the pirate life, you can selct "pirate mode" and join the Dragon Lady in the South China Seas.

FSX, Crash to desktop fix
(Category: FSX > Misc)
0.17Mb (28383 downloads)
It seems that after a update to windows Vista and 7, FSX has a tendency to Crash to the desktop and restart. Following the event viewer, and with help from various sources (specifically the FSpassengers forum) I (or we) found the cause. The before mention update modified the UiautomationCore.dll, and caused FSX to crash at random times when accessing the in game menu (ether by pressing ALT or right clicking). This includes the original DLL file before the update. In stall is easy, instructions are included.
Be aware that this will only fix the CTD error that’s caused by this problem. Any other CTD error caused by another source will not be fixed.

FSX Gannet RCN Textures
(Category: FSX > Vintage)
3.88Mb (1411 downloads)
A 'what if?' re-paint for Rob Richardsons new FSX Fariey Gannet 'kerosene converter' (it converts kerosene to noise!) Absolutley excellent, great VC (for the NAV, too!)
lots of features, double Mamba sound, and free, too.
Model is avalable at Classic British Files .com http://www.classicbritishfiles.com/index.php?option=com_cont ..
The Gannet was evaluated by the RCN in the mid '50's as an Avenger replacement in the ASW search and strike role, but the Tracker was selected as Fairey would not license production in Canada. We can, however, visualize an alternate history through the magic of FlightSim. An RCN Gannet in VS-880 markings, HMCS Bonaventure, 1958.

(Category: FSX > Scenery)
4.02Mb (3295 downloads)
Draped along the greatest heights of the Himalayas, Nepal is where the ice-cold of the mountains meets the steamy heat of the Indian plains. It's a land of yaks and yetis, stupas and Sherpas and some of the best flying in your Sim. The Himalaya's most sophisticated urban cultures took shape here, in the three great mini kingdoms of the Kathmandu Valley - Kathmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur -In 1950 A Dakota Aircraft (DC3) of Indian Registration commenced the first ever Schedule Service On 20th February, linking Kathmandu to Patna, Calcutta and Delhi. From then on Aviation has grown and many airfields cover this mountainous land locked country. Four Parts will cover this country starting with the present one which gives the Sim Pilot:* New AFCADS for all Airports in FSX, * New Airfields not available in FSX in rugged mountains, lakes and Rivers,* New Objects at airports, airfields and in various parts of the country * Many Flights "ready to Go" under all kinds of weather. * A Number of very "SPECIAL" flights for the very experienced Bush Pilot. Cessna T-41 Mescalero FACH
(Category: CFS1 > Modern Aircraft)
0.30Mb (500 downloads)
The T-41 Mescalero is a military version of the popular Cessna 172 for use at the US Air Force Academy (USAFA) in Colorado Springs, and by the Chilean Air Force in military training, light transport and liaison roles. The chilean version was the T-41D, which included an upgrade in avionics and to a constant-speed propeller.
The Chilean Air force operated the Cessna T-41 Mescalero between the years 60s to 90s, mainly homebased at Escuela de Especialidades, El Bosque airbase, Santiago.
Created by: Chris Lampard (1999) & Sergio Kaiser (peruvian version) for FS98.
Adapted to CFS1 and repainted as T-41 #214 of Escuela de Especialidades, El Bosque Airbase, Santiago, in two textures:
-T-41 #214 All grey, with high visibility markings, before 1978.
-T-41 #214 Green/tan/grey camouflaged, after "Beagle Crisis" in 1978.
Also special thanks to Juan Concha & Roberto Ibarra, former FACH officers, by the great provided information for the development of this virtual model.
