CFS Scenery "Rechlin Lõrz and Rechlin North"
1.73Mb (224 downloads)
CFS Scenery Add-On "Rechlin Lõrz and Rechlin North" The "Rechlin" scenery is totally fictional, but is an effort to represent the airport like it (may) have looked like in WWII days. Shows the current airfields layer took from the real maps and a supposed buildings distribution just as a German Airfield during WWII. This scenery places Runway, AFD menu entry, NDB beacon frequency, buildings, fields, trees, ground vehicles, static planes, active gastruck, searchlights and more to the airfield of Rechlin - Germany.

The Bristol Bulldog Mk II was used by Spanish Republicans forces to fighting the Nationalist forces in the Spanish Civil War (1936-39), remaining in use until the Battle of Santander, flown mainly by foreign volunteer pilots enlisted in the International Brigades. Bristol Bulldogs MK IV were the first aircraft of the Finnish Air Force to make contact with Soviet bomber and escorting fighter in the opening days of the Winter War (1939-40). The Bulldogs fought well against their Soviet opponent, gaining six kills by five pilots for the loss of one of their own, the types shot down being two Polikarpov I-16s and four Tupolev SB-2s, both of which were quite superior in terms of technology compared to the Bulldog. In fact, the very first aerial victory of Finnish Air Force was achieved by a Bulldog piloted by SSgt Toivo Uuttu on 1 December 1939, over an I-16. The Bulldog continued in service during the subsequent Continuation War (1941-44), however they were later relegated to training duties in the 'Continuation War' as more modern aircraft became available.
