FS2004 Luscombe Model 8A Package. The Luscombe Model 8 was one of those classics in aviation that was recognized for its nice lines, good performance, and excellent flying characteristics from its inception 1n 1938. A two-place side-by-side airplane, the Model 8A was re-marketed shortly after World War II with the intention of fulfilling the “airplane-in-every-garage” ideal. Most of these 100 mph cruise speedsters were powered by Continental four-cylinder 65 hp engines . The best overall description of this particular Luscombe creation was simple: it was a “thoroughbred”! The Model 8A represented the next step in Don Luscombe’s pioneering work in all-metal aircraft design. In the early years of company history, he had little competition in that category, but the widespread production of all-metal military aircraft during World War II propelled several of Luscombe’s competitors directly into this market. Eventually the proliferation of these types drove Luscombe in bankruptcy. Today it remains popular as a classic aircraft. By Lynn and Bill Lyons. 6.1MB

0.53Mb (409 downloads)
FS2004 Viscount 708 Guernsey Airlines (Alidair livery) Textures only. Guernsey Airlines was a wholly owned subsidury of Alidair and operated a single Viscount 735 (G-BFYZ), one of two purchased from Iraqi Airways. There was considerable interworking of the whole fleet which saw Alidair aircraft on Guernsey services and the Guernsey machine appearing throughout the network. It was on an Alidair flight that 'FYZ was written off. It was replaced by G-BDRC but in the meantime G-ARIR became the token aircraft flying still in Alidair livery but with Guernsey titles and smal crests behind the doors. The whole operation was merged into Inter City Airways in 1981. Requires the FSDS Viscount 700 model by Rick Piper here Repaint by Garry Russell. 548K

11.60Mb (11965 downloads)
FS2004 Piper PA-22 Tri-Pacer Package. The Tri-Pacer is a remarkable aircraft with performance that matches or exceeds that of its contemporary all metal Cessna 172. It is a full seven feet shorter in length then a 172 and takes off in a shorter distance with a higher cruise speed. The Tri-Pacer wins over its pilots with its performance and it is a delight to fly an aircraft that can get airborne fully loaded in 1,220 feet and land over a 50 foot barrier in 1,280 feet. It stalls at 48 mph and best rate of climb is at 84 mph when it can get 620 feet per minute. At 7,000 and 75% power it will true out at 132 mph and its service ceiling is 15,000. Today it remains popular as a classic aircraft. By Lynn and Bill Lyons. 11.9MB

Viscount 708 Alidair (Air Inter) Textures only.
0.58Mb (536 downloads)
FS2004 Viscount 708 Alidair (Air Inter) Textures only. Of the six V.708 aircraft bought from Air Inter this particular aircraft was not to see long service with it's new owner. Acquired by Alidair in May 1975 it intially flew as F-BGNT before taking up the UK marks of G-BDIK in August of that year. It was leased to Intra from the beginning of April 1976 until the end of October. On return it was withdrawn and used for spares. This repaint shows it how it was flying in British marks with no attempt to remove the Air Inter logos and the titles still visible on the roof.
