Be advised that this will replace all existing size 8 planes, so I suggest you make backups of your model and dp files if you wish to keep them. CFS Bell P-39D Airacobra, USAAC 31st Pursuit Group, Selfridge Field, MI, February 1941 (CFS ONLY PACKAGE). Originally designed as an interceptor, the US Army requested that Bell redesign the P-39 as ground attack fighter. This led to the removal of it's Allison V-1710's turbosupercharger and enlarging the plane; leading to a marked reduction in performance. The D model was the first combat ready production variant. CFS Bell F2L-1 SeaCobra USN (fictional), NAS Ford Island, February 1942 (CFS ONLY PACKAGE). What if the US Navy acquired a number of the ex-British Mk.1/P-400s in early 1942 to make up for the losses sustained at Pearl Harbor. Unsuited for carrier duty, the SeaCobra would've been limited to operating from shore bases. Stationed at NAS Ford Island they freed up surviving carrier capable fighters for fleet duty. This led to the removal of it's Allison V-1710's turbosupercharger and enlarging the plane; leading to a marked reduction in performance. The C model was the first production variant. However it was soon learned it was not suited to combat; lacking armor and self-sealing fuel tanks. Only twenty examples were built and all were relegated to training duties. FS5 Model/AFX by Eric C.
