Tangmere
(Category: CFS1 > Scenery)
1.76Mb (470 downloads)
The "Tangmere" scenery attempt to be approximated to the reality showing the airport like it (may) have looked like in WWII days, as RAF station in the 1940's, Battle of Britain period. Shows the wartime airfield layer took from the real maps and actual "air" photos from the WWII time period.
This scenery places an additional concrete Runway, not showed on the default CFS scenery, buildings, fields, trees, ground vehicles, static planes, searchlights and more to the default CFS scenery of Tangmere.
I maintained the original CFS default grass-runway, but his length is not real.
On this scenery, I show some old static trucks (API macros) created by me, a few months ago, the Bedford OL (with and without tent) and the Austin K2 ambulance.
The default CFS scenery supply the AFD menu entry, but you need have installed the CFSAIRP.ZIP of Pieter van Wyk, to capture the Tangmere's NDB frequency (262.0 khz) through the Bendix ADF.
This scenery is not compatible with other Tangmere sceneries for CFS1, if you have installed another, disable it.

Messerschmitt BF109H
(Category: FSX > Vintage)
10.02Mb (6430 downloads)
FS9/FSX Me 109H.
The Messerschmitt Bf 109H was designed as a high altitude interceptor. It was cancelled due to the success of the superlative Fw190D/Ta152 series. The first prototype (Bf 109 V.54) flew on 5 November 1943. Initial tests were satisfactory. A second prototype, the Bf 109 V.55, was destroyed in an air raid on 25 February 1944. Further tests on the V.54 produced less impressive results, but work continued on the project. A small number of the pre-production H-0 and H-1s were produced, and were tested by a reconnaissance unit based at Guyancourt, near Paris, but performance was not satisfactory.
Original mdl by David Hanvey and Paul Barry. Modified version with gun/sound effects, instruments and new airfile for FS9/FSX by A.F. Scrub.

The "Deelen" scenery attempt to be approximated to the reality showing the airport like it (may) have looked like in WWII days, under Luftwaffe occupation. Shows the wartime airfield layer took from the real maps and actual "air" photos from the WWII time period.
After the occupation of the Netherlands by Germany in 1940, the Luftwaffe started using the field, significantly expanding and upgrading the base. The Focke-Wulf Fw 190, Messerschmitt Bf 110 and Junkers Ju 88 were operated from the airfield, and anti-aircraft guns were placed. In 1944, the airfield got bombed extensively by allied forces and flying activity from the base was suspended by the Germans.

Woensdretch
(Category: CFS1 > Scenery)
1.98Mb (393 downloads)
The "Woensdretch" scenery shows the default CFS airfield with the enlargement and upgrading developed during German occupation in the Second World War, and attempt to be approximated to the reality showing the airport like it (may) have looked like in WWII days. Also, I have included the Fokker maintenance facilities (located at south west of airforce base), the Bergen's channel system, and the nearby airstrips Midden-Zeeland and Seppe.
After the occupation of the Netherlands by Germany in 1940, the Luftwaffe started using the field, significantly expanding and upgrading the base with a asphalt runway. (I don't 100% sure of this, but it is seen better than the empty CFS/default Woensdretch).
This scenery places asphalt Runway, not showed on the default CFS scenery, NDB beacon antenna, buildings, fields, trees, ground vehicles, static planes, searchlights and more to the default CFS scenery of Woensdretch, Midden-Zeeland and Seppe.
The default CFS scenery supply the AFD menu entry for Woensdretch (now the ramp), but you can start from new asphalt runway choosing Woensdrecht Rwy7 on the menu entry. You need have installed the CFSAIRP.ZIP of Pieter van Wyk, to capture the Woensdretch's NDB frequency (272 khz) through the Bendix ADF.
To see the dutch trucks, you need have installed the objects library of James Elwood, (included on this zip). Copy objlib.bgl file to main CFS/scenery folder.

"Rheine-Hopsten"
(Category: CFS1 > Scenery)
0.49Mb (172 downloads)
The "Rheine-Hopsten" scenery is a complement for the excellent scenery "Fliegerhorst Hopsten" created by Wolfgang Grünewald, and shows the three concrete runways built an the end of WWII (1944) for ME-262 operations.
This scenery adds concrete Runways, not showed on the Wolfgang Grünewald's scenery (1940), NDB beacon, buildings, ground vehicles, static jet planes and searchlights.
If you don't have installed the Wolfgang Grünewald's "Fliegerhorst Hopsten" scenery, no problem. Is not needed, but the scenery will be seen very poor. This new add-on was built to as full compatible with the 1940 version.
