MSN SH.1831 was built in 1964 as a Series 2 Skyvan and registered as G-ASZJ. Converted to a Series 3 with Garrett engines, Zulu Juliet was painted in a pseudo Northeast Airlines colour scheme and leant out to British Air Services as a potential de Havilland Heron replacement. Converted to a passenger configuration, it was repainted in an interesting lilac and grey scheme with Interstol titling and demonstrated to a variety of airlines as a feeder liner. BEA Scottish division did use ‘SZJ but had it painted, yet again, in their colours. After return to Shorts, it assumed a red and white scheme and went out on loan to various operators. Its final time on the UK register, in an all white scheme, it served Trygon between 1991 and 1995. It then went on to become, in turn 9U-BHJ, ZS-ORN,3D-AER, 9Q-CSO, 9Q-CSD, and finally to Win Win Aviation as N198WW in 2019. Painted on to the Dan Watkins/Ken Mitchell/ Aaron Swindle (with help from Rick Piper) Shorts Skyvan, I have attempted to recreate the initial Northeast yellow and grey scheme, and the lilac and grey Interstol scheme, worn by G-ASZJ. I apologise for the bleed-through on one of the struts but this was done just for fun!

Armstrong Whitworth Meteor NF11. The Armstrong Whitworth Meteor NF.11 is a 1950s British two-seat, twin-engine jet night fighter developed as a specialized radar-equipped variant of the Gloster Meteor. To house its heavy AI Mk.10 radar and a second crew member (radar operator), the aircraft featured a significantly lengthened nose and a stretched fuselage based on the Meteor trainer variant. Because the radar occupied the nose, its four 20mm Hispano cannons were moved into the wings. It served as a vital interim night fighter for the Royal Air Force and several European allies during the early years of the Cold War before being replaced by more advanced all-weather interceptors. The Lockheed P-80 Shooting Star is an early jet fighter that was designed and built by Lockheed. Lavochkin La-7 Unit: 176 GIAP February 1945 Germany Pilot: Major Aleksandr S. Kumanichkin 35 total victories The La-7 entered combat in June 1944 during the opening phase of Operation Bagration, the massive Soviet offensive that destroyed Army Group Center. Equipped with the new fighter, elite Guards regiments immediately established air superiority over the battlefield, allowing Il-2 Shturmoviks and Pe-2 dive-bombers to operate with increasing freedom. Luftwaffe pilots who had been accustomed to qualitative superiority over Soviet fighters found the La-7 an unsettling opponent, faster, with better climb, and flown by increasingly experienced Soviet pilots. The kill-to-loss ratios achieved by Soviet Guards regiments in the war's final months were the best of the entire Eastern Front war, a stark reversal from the catastrophic ratios of 1941. The La-7 also saw limited postwar combat service. North Korean Air Force La-7s were used in the opening stages of the Korean War in June-July 1950, though they were quickly swept aside by USAF F-80 Shooting Star jets and even by propeller-driven F-51 Mustangs whose pilots had greater experience and training. FSX/FS2004 German WWII Helicopter Focke Fa-223e Achgelis. It was worldwide the first transport helicopter. The production of 20 transport helicopters was done between 1941 and 1945. The Fa-223e had an 1000 HP BMW Bramo 323 engine and could carry a payload up to 700 kg and reached a speed of 182 kmh. The military heli was used in the mountains and also for rescue missions. My model is a simple one but it has a realistic VC with instrument panels configured regarding the original WWII helicopter. FSDS 3.5 model by Erwin Welker

Beagle B.206 Basset The Beagle Basset is a 1960s British seven-seat, twin-piston engine light transport and communications aircraft built by Beagle Aircraft Limited. The Military History: After winning a design competition in 1963, the Royal Air Force (RAF) ordered 20 of these aircraft. In military service, it was officially designated as the Basset CC.1. Civilian Use: Beyond the RAF, civil variants (Series 1 and Series 2) were utilized as corporate aircraft, air taxis, and by specialized organizations like Australia's Royal Flying Doctor Service. Hunting Percival Pembroke for FSX and P3D. The Hunting Percival Pembroke is a British twin-engined, high-wing light transport aircraft developed in the early 1950s by the Percival Aircraft Company (which later became Hunting Percival). Evolving from the civil Percival Prince, it features a longer wingspan to accommodate higher all-up weights. A total of 128 aircraft were manufactured between 1953 and 1958. Model by Rob Richardson.
