This model is an early Douglas D-558-2 Sky Rocket at rollout.
The canopy was a smooth flush canopy with a beautiful silhouette integrated with the fuselage.
The smooth flush canopy seemed to have bad visibility and was replaced with a protruding canopy before the first flight on February 4, 1948.
As a result, the vertical stabilizer was affected and replaced with a taller vertical stabilizer.
Therefore, the sky rocket did not fly in this smooth flush canopy.
Another feature is the smooth flush mount air intake and the jet nozzle that exhausts diagonally downwards, resulting in intake efficiency and reduced engine performance.
Therefore, early Skyrocket is a low-performance, unattractive jet airplane.
But I think it's a very ideal and beautiful aircraft design!
The rocket engine mount has a smooth cover.
Therefore, it looks like a very small white fish, "Salangidae", which Japanese people like to eat, and it is very cute.
The reason for built the early Sky Rocket is how does the view from the canopy with bad forward visibility and open ceiling look?
I wanted to see it.
Flying an aircraft with low engine performance and poor visibility is also a real pleasure of a flight simulator.

This model is a rocket engine-only Douglas D-558-2, which reproduces the second unit by Scott Crossfield, who achieved Mach 2 for the first time in humankind on November 20, 1953.
The turbojet engines have been removed, and it is powered only by rocket engines.
This D-558-2 was unable to take off on its own, so it was held on the belly of a Navy-spec B-29 and launched from the air.
In this model, the ability to configure up to four engines in FSX is assigned to each rocket chamber with four cylinders on the XLR-8 rocket motor.
Since this is a rocket engine, you should always fly at full throttle.
This FSX D-558-2 speed control toggles each chamber on and off.
The fuel consumption rate is very bad.
At full throttle, it can fly at an altitude of 10,000 feet for about two and a half minutes, and at 30,000 feet for about six minutes.
When landing, use up all the fuel and glide like a glider to land.
So setting up FSX with no fuel limit is no fun!

Textures only for the FSXBA F/A-18C Hornet, this two texture pack represents F/A-18C Hornets from the Kestrels of VFA-137 from the final deployment of the USS Constellation (CV-64). That cruise also happened to be the Kestrels last Hornet deployment before transitioning to the F/A-18E Super Hornet in 2004. Enjoy it if you like.

Douglas D-558-2 achieved Mankind's first Mach 2 on November 20, 1953.
I've been longing for aircraft since I was a kid, but somehow I got to know D-558-2 six months ago.
The reason was that the glory of Chuck Yeager and Bell X-1 was so dazzling that I couldn't see D-558-2.
And Albert Scott Crossfield and Douglas D-558-2, who achieved the world's first Mach 2, became my heroes alongside the X-1.
The very elegant streamlined design of D-558-2 is very beautiful.
It's a very perfect design!
The triangular canopy glass is small and the pilot's face appears to be trapped.
What a small and unique cockpit.
What does the landscape from this cockpit look like?
And I was excited to see the powerful take-off photo of D-558-2 using JATO(Takeoff support rocket unit).
I wanted to reproduce these in FSX.
This model is D558-2 number 3 and is a hybrid of turbojet and rocket engine.
I dedicate this model for the great history of aircraft.

The Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-19S(NATO: name: Farmer-C is a Soviet second generation, single-seat, twinjet fighter aircraft, the world's first mass-produced supersonic aircraft. It was the first Soviet production aircraft capable of supersonic speeds in level flight, and a dread foe in a knife fight.
2020 FSX native update of the Yan Yao MiG-19.
It's the one out of all the freeware FARMERs that gets the shape
and belligerent look of the MiG-19 down cold.
The model is an elderly GMAX, and has a fes minor glitches I could not entirely minimize or fix, see the readme for details.
It's still a great looking model, the glitch isn't too glaring.
It's not, really. And, the price is right.
No VC, so I Frankenstein`d a 'soviet twin' together out of a Su-15 VC.
