                    Radio Range System
FS2004 Radio Range System (Category: FS2004 > Utilities)
18.87Mb (2165 downloads)
FS2004 Radio Range System A bona fide Radio Range System simulating a robust navigation technique of the 1940s which lasted until the advent of the VOR. Uses Morse Code A and N audio signals to determine course. Nearly a year in development, this package includes a standalone DC-3 (based on the default) with three panels, new gauges and greatly improved flight dynamics; scenery for 118 Radio Range stations of Eastern US and SE Canada (from 1944 sectional charts) with approach plates for each; and a comprehensive instruction manual. All necessary system, program and sound files are included. Future enhancements will add Western US and Canadian stations. By Dave Bitzer, Alex Nicolson, Norman Hancock, Allan Greene and Charles Wood. 19.3MB FS2004 Radio Range V3.1 Upgrade. Many have asked to fly the Radio Range using only Morse sounds, as intended when invented. Now fly with or without an ADF gauge. Some files also corrected in this upgrade. Install RR_03.zip by Dave Bitzer, Alex Nicolson, Norman Hancock and Allan Greene before this upgrade. Radio Range Forum is at http://dcascreenshots.net/rr/index.php. 695K

FSX Bell P-39 Airacobra with updated panels
FSX Bell P-39 Airacobra with updated panels
55.74Mb (2164 downloads)
The P-39 was the principle American fighter when WWII broke out When the United States entered World War II, the Bell P-39 was its primary fighter plane. By war’s end, nearly 10,000 had been produced in nearly 48 variants, making the “Airacobra” one of Bell’s most successful aircraft ever. This is a major panel update for the Airacobra featuring a completely reworked virtual cockpit and 2D panel with animated yoke. I've tried to design the panels as close as possible to the real P-39 panel, now with almost 100% authentic look and gauge configuration. Original CFS2/FS2004 model by Simtech, converted to FSX by A.F.Scrub. The package features 7 fine liveries by Simtech and different authors. New virtual cokpit and 2D panel by Michael Pook. Exhaust smoke added as well. The model may work in FS2004 and P2D (version3).

FSX Native Supermarine Seafire FR Mk.47 X
FSX Native Supermarine Seafire FR Mk.47 X
FSX Native Supermarine Seafire FR Mk.47 X (Category: FSX > Vintage)
10.81Mb (2164 downloads)
The ultimate Spitfire development, the Seafire 47 was twice as heavy as the Spitfire I and nearly doubled every other operational parameter of the original, too. A delight in the air, the machine was a bit of a handful coming aboard and not as robust as it's contemporaries. Still, it was every inch a warplane and shouldered the load in the early part of the Korean war. AF Scrub's very sweet FR.47 has a long MSFS lineage, now in FSX native mdlX format, with Scrubby's permission. B-Z, dude! Works in FSX and P3D.

FS2004/ FSX D.H.84 Dragon
FS2004/ FSX D.H.84 Dragon (Category: FS2004 > Vintage)
20.24Mb (2164 downloads)
The D.H.84 Dragon was designed & built in 1932 by de Havilland as a 6 - 8 seat medium-distance passenger airliner. Its primary route was to be the London to Paris route flown by Hillmans Airways. British production was 115 aircraft of which 52 were the Mk2 version with the framed windows. A further 87 were built in Australia as navigational trainers. The aircraft was later superceded by the better-known faster D.H. 89 Dragon Rapide. Three aircraft are offered in this package - the MK1 of Hillmans Airways, a MK1 in the livery of Railway Air Services Ltd (still flying) and a MK2 as Chrisair G-ADDI (now in America). The models are built for FS2004 although they work tolerably well in FSX -( a modified config file and glass texture are included). by Dave Molyneaux
