MACCHI MC202 FOLGORE 3°Stormo,18° Gruppo, 85° Squadriglia The most important italian fighter of WWII, the folgore was derived from the Saetta with the installation of a german Daimler-Benz 600 serie engine. Fast, manouvrable, reliable, it had comparable performances with the Bf109F series but suffered for lack of firepower. This plane was flown by italian ace Luigi Gorrini, credited with 19 confirmed kills. It features full moving parts and high resolution historically accurate textures. 2.36Mb (2121 downloads)
FS2002 Grumman XF5F-1 Skyrocket PTO Operational Colors The Grumman Skyrocket was developed just before WW2 and was the first twin engine Navy fighter. It had awesome performance for its day, it was fast (exceeded 450mph in a dive) and could outclimb a Corsair. Carrier pilots loved it because the contra-rotating props eliminated torque effects on takeoffs and landings. Unfortunately, the Navy thought it was too heavy for carrier ops and opted to mass produce the single engine F4F. This FSDS2 Project includes full moving parts (tail hook, canopy, ailerons etc...)custom panel and specular shine, repaint based on a "what if" the navy had chosen this aircraft instead of the wildcat....the rest is history. Textures: Felipe Belalcazar Panel: Roger Gilmore Model: Paul Clawson. 2.4MB

FS2004 Mike Stone A-10 Thunderbolt 2 Update. Description: This is an update of the A-10 Thunderbolt 2, clean version, by Mike Stone (required here). I have updated the flight dynamics and provided a texture for those, who like me, don't believe teeth, mouths, or eyes belong on an aircraft. This should also work for the armed version, unless Mike used a completely different model with a different datum point for it. Bob Chicilo. 111K
