Based in the UK Channel Islands, this aircraft is part of the fleet operating international and inter-island flights from Guernsey, Jersey and Alderney. FS2004 Project Airbus A320-214 Air Jamaica, registration 6Y-JMK "Spirit of Mandeville" with Lighting Effects and Updated FDE. I am proud to present this Project Airbus A320-214, registration 6Y-JMK, in the colorful Air Jamaica livery. Air Jamaica was founded in late 1968 and started operations in April of 1969. Throughout its existence it had enjoyed expansive growth through the 1990's during which time the Jamaican government reduced their ownership share in the company to 25% in an effort to privatize it. However, in 2004 Air Jamaica suffered significant financial losses, so the government interceded to take back 100% ownership of the company. Air Jamaica has argueably one of the brightest, colorful liverys of any airline flying. It had not been that way until the 1990's when Air Jamaica repainted its fleet in this livery. This airframe, registration 6Y-JMK, was delivered to Air Jamaica in July of 2003 and is the newest A320 in thier fleet of 9. She bears the name "Spirit of Mandeville" aft of the flag of Jamaica below the side windscreen. This aircraft is a frequent visitor to KBOS, KBWI, KFLL, KMIA, and several other aiports in the USA. I paid attention to detail and realism as much as possible. Most repainted textures are 32-bit with no mipmaps (wings are DXT3). Repaint by Jeffrey S. This is the British Columbia Scenery Pack. In the British Columbia Scenery Pack there are 4 of our new airports. Including Qualicum Beach Municipul (CAT4), Pemberton Regional Airport (CYPS), Campbell River Airport (CYBL), and Port McNeill Airport (CAT5). Each is airport located in British Columbia. These airports are all great for sight seeing whether it be flying a glider in the mountains of British Columbia, or taking a small propeller to view Vancouver Island's great scenery, these airports are must have for your Flight Simulator. You can fly a variety of planes to every airport, from gliders, to jets, each airport is fun in its own way. Every airport gets good frames, and can be seen even on the lowest settings.

This is the second version of FSX port-over of Brian Gladden's GA8 Airvan, initially designed for FS9. With permission of the original model designer there were made some improvements of exterior and interior texture, vitual cockpit, aircraft configuration, flight dynamics and sound files. The FSX aircraft is operated from VC only, but has several auxilary pop-up panels to expand control capabilities (mini-panel for external view flight; display, providing detailed engine operations features; pedestal panel with engine, pitch trim, wing flaps and parking break controls). The FSX GyppsAero Airvan package represents two plane options - GA-8 with Lycoming IO-540A1K1 engine and turbocharged GA-8 TC-320 with Lycoming TIO-540-AH1A. Unfortunately, due to the original model limitations the second option exterior is not authentic visually, as the turbocharged plane has a 3-blade propeller. Meanwhile MP/FP and RPM gauges for both engine options looks properly.

CFS2 & CFS1 BULLET IMPACT STEREO SOUND EFFECTS for CFS2 & CFS1: Jump to the sound of heavier metal with this New UpGRADE of my MetalRND ( RND_IMP.WAV ). Here is METAL2nd, an UpDATED replacement for my MetalRnd.zip or your rnd_imp.wav sound file, with the added secondary metal on metal ping & whiz of bullets as they hit, bounce & rip around your aircraft. It's A Big Difference from the default "thud only" sound you get with CFS2 & CFS. With this upgrade you will notice much better amplification & richer harmonics for a sound that varies more dynamically with each bullet impact. Stereo Balance in this version has also been much improved from rnd_imp in my 1st MetalRnd.zip. This sound file has been tested & is completely compatible with both CFS2 & CFS1.
