FSX Heinkel He-178 updated
(Category: FSX > Vintage)
14.11Mb (1496 downloads)
The He-178 was the world's very first jet
aircraft, whose maiden flight took place on
August 27, 1939, just before the outbreak of WWII. It was a very small aircraft but reached a top speed of well over 400 mph, more than any fighter at the time. However,
it never made it to mass production and never went to service, because the Ministry of German Aviation didn't consider it a useful weapon as it was too small and didn't have enough range. So after some test flights the project was abandoned.
The package, originally designed for FS2002
by the team of geocities/ thedrachensnest,
features a completely re-designed VC and 2D
panel as well as FSX compatible smoke effects. It includes two models, a prototype and a fictional (what if?) repaint. Credits go the team mentioned above for the original model.
Repaints, VC and 2D panel as well as smoke effect configuration by Michael Pook.

The panel reflects the real cockpit with almost all working
systems, like electric (including main, essential and nonessential
busses), hydraulic, pressurization, fuel, ice protection and
many other. Except the GPWS all gauges are programmed completely
new especially for this panel. The panel contains also a realistic
turboprop start-up procedure and can simulate typical handling
faults like hot-starts, wet-starts, hung-starts and many more.
Necessary replacement FDE's for the J31 of the HJG group and
Jorge Sánchez are included. The package contains also a 100
pages manual including checklists and emergency checklists.

1963 Paris-Orly Scenery.
We have produced this scenery to provide taxiways and etails
as they were around 1963 at Paris-Orly. We have also included
new parking to allow the AI aircraft to taxi correctly at the
new (old!) airport. We had just a few photographs of the "old"
Orly airport, so we tried to come as close as possible. Our
goal was to reflect something of the atmosphere and feel of
that period, prior to the all jet era of today. By Harry Biard,
