A 'what if?' re-paint for Rob Richardsons new FSX Fariey Gannet 'kerosene converter' (it converts kerosene to noise!) Absolutley excellent, great VC (for the NAV, too!) lots of features, double Mamba sound, and free, too. The Gannet was evaluated by the RCN in the mid '50's as an Avenger replacement in the ASW search and strike role, but the Tracker was selected as Fairey would not license production in Canada. There are three primary versions of the Tornado; the Tornado IDS (Interdictor/Strike) fighter-bomber, the suppression of enemy air defences Tornado ECR (Electronic Combat/Reconnaissance) and the Tornado F.3 (only United Kingdom) a air fefence variant. It is one of the world's most sophisticated and capable interdiction and attack aircraft, with a long range, large payload and high survivability. Developed and built by Panavia, a tri-national consortium consisting of MBB of West Germany, British Aerospace, and Alenia Aeronautica of Italy. The Tornado first flew on August 14, 1974, and saw action with the RAF and AMI (Italian Air Force) in the Gulf War (Operation Desert Storm). International co-operation continued after its entry into service within the Tri-National Tornado Training Establishment, a tri-nation training and evaluation unit operating from RAF Cottesmore, England. Including all variants, 992 aircraft were built for the three partner nations and Saudi Arabia (first export customer). FSX LF1224 St Rome de Tarn The closest ULM air stripe near the famous Bridge of Millau, in the center of France, this very interesting and challenging little air field is mostly for Utra light motorised although, if a talented bush pilot, you can try with light aircrafts like the Piper Cub, the Jodel or the Maule. If good, you can even try with the Pilatus or the DH2. The landing stripe is on the top of the hill, roughtly North / South oriented. If using real weather, the winds and the fogs could be a challenge when trying to find the place back. Dominique M.L. Donzelot
