FS2004 RA-5C Vigilante Update. This is an update of the RA-5C Vigilante by Massimo Altieri (above). Since the effects listed in the aircraft.cfg file didn't work for me, I changed them. It now has working afterburners and smoke effects. I also updated the flight dynamics, added a second cockpit light, adjusted some of the lights, changed the HSI, and added a digital trim, autopilot, digital mach meter, thrust indicator, and toggle icons to the panel. I have reduced the dihedral effect, changed the position of the beacon, and took some of the drag from the wheels and flaps so it is easier to hold speed on approach. This package contains modified models of the freeware released Aeroplane Heaven B-17s and modified with their permission to create a number of civilianized firefighting B-17 models. The B-17s served from the 1960s until the 1980s and flew with a number of operators and tank designs. Ranging from 1,500 to 2,000 gallon retardant tanks. Most of the B-17s flying today were firebombers at some point in the not so distant past. The B-17s like many other converted aerial firefighting aircraft served longer as firebombers and some several decades longer than they did in their past military bomber/transport configurations. Proving to be a very underappreciated and underrepresented large portion of most of these aircraft's history. Operators represented in this package include Aero Union, Evergreen International, Black Hills Aviation, Globe Air Inc., and TBM Inc. Aircraft are compatible in both FSX and P3D. This is a cockpit interior and panel update for the Hawker Tempest MKVI recently posted by A.F. Scrub. The package features four liveries, among them the beautiful display bird Blue Thunder. The focus of this update lies on the enhancement of the cockpit interior, an entirely revised photoreal virtual cockpit and 2D panel with animated yoke. Almost all the original gauges have been replaced with new ones, now giving the panels a much more authentic appearance and making them almost look like the real panel. Smoke effect added. Thanks to David Hanvey and Paul Barry for the original FS2004 model, to David Rickets, Jan Rosenberg, Dave Quincey and Matt Wynn for the repaints and to Morton from SOH for the great photoreal 2D panel, which is the base for the VC. Also thanks to A.F. Scrub for his latest native FSX update, which has made it possible to implement this VC, Also thanks to Andre Ludick for his prop texture and some tweaks to the aircraft.cfg.
