The Fairey Aviation Company Fairey III was a family of British reconnaissance biplanes that enjoyed a very long production and service history in both landplane and seaplane variants. First flying on 14 September 1917, examples were still in use during the Second World War. This is an FSX panel update for the Fairey IIID featuring both a new VC design and 2D panel matching the VC. Thanks to Edward Cook for the original model and to Yannis Tsetsas for his VC design and some of the gauges. New gauge configuration and 2D panel by Michael Pook. Smoke effect included. Textures only for the SECTIONF8 F-86 Sabre. This is painted to resemble the F-86 flown in the 1958 movie "The Hunters" which starred Robert Mitchum. Entitled " Miss America " For over thirty years, Miss America has captured the hearts of millions of aircraft enthusiasts around the world."Miss AMERICA" has a wingspan of 32 feet, which is clipped for racing, compared to a "stock" P-51 that has a wingspan of 37 feet. "Miss AMERICA" is powered by a "racing" Packard built Rolls-Royce V-1650-7 "Merlin" engine that produces 3,000 horsepower in racing trim compared to 1,490 horsepower in stock form. This package contains modified models of the freeware released Aeroplane Heaven B-17s and modified with their permission to create a number of civilianized firefighting B-17 models. The B-17s served from the 1960s until the 1980s and flew with a number of operators and tank designs. Ranging from 1,500 to 2,000 gallon retardant tanks. Most of the B-17s flying today were firebombers at some point in the not so distant past. The B-17s like many other converted aerial firefighting aircraft served longer as firebombers and some several decades longer than they did in their past military bomber/transport configurations. Proving to be a very underappreciated and underrepresented large portion of most of these aircraft's history. Operators represented in this package include Aero Union, Evergreen International, Black Hills Aviation, Globe Air Inc., and TBM Inc. Aircraft are compatible in both FSX and P3D.
