The Messerschmitt development department received a directive in 1942 to begin work on a Zerstörer (destroyer, or heavy fighter). An earlier RLM directive of 1941 had tried to limit the amount of new designs coming from the major aircraft companies (to not disrupt the production lines with new aircraft), so it was decided to couple two Bf 109 fuselages together, along with a new center wing and tailplane section, to come up with the Me 109Z (Zwilling, or twin). A prototype was completed in early 1943, but it was damaged in an Allied air attack on the Messerschmitt test center, and the damage was deemed too severe for repair. The development was abandoned in 1944, and by then, the Me 262 jet fighter had taken wing. This is an update for the Me-109 Zwilling, recently converted for FSX by Eric Hertzberger. Its focus lies upon an improved and more realistic looking VC and interior, but I also added wing and vc lights, improved the FDE and added smoke effect as well as new thumbnails. Gauges are all authentic German in both the VC and 2D panel. This is the whole package for easy installation. The McDonnell XF-85 Goblin parasite aircraft was developed to protect B-36 bombers flying beyond the range of conventional escort fighters. In theory, a B-36 penetrating enemy territory would carry its protecting fighter in the bomb bay. If attacked by enemy aircraft, the bomber would lower the Goblin on a trapeze and release it to combat the attackers. After the enemy had been driven away, the parasite fighter would return to the bomber, hook onto the trapeze, fold its wings, and be lifted back into the bomb bay. Although the XF-85 was successfully launched and retrieved from an EB-29B on several test flights but was never flown from a B-36. The test program was canceled in late 1949s when mid-air refueling of fighter aircraft for range extension began to show greater promise. This is and FSX Update of the XF-85 by Kazunori Ito. It features a new static VC and a 2D panel with now FSX compatible gauges. I also added lights including VC light as well as smoke effect and slightly changed the flight dynamics. This is a redo of KRNT located in the Seattle, Washington Area. KRNT is a major general aviation service airport, and also serves as the roll off point for new 737 aircraft from the Boeing plant located on the east side of the field. FS2004 Douglas DC-3 Four Fuel Tank Automixture Gauge For four-tank operation, this gauge may be of interest to those pilots who like to fly without checking the "Enable automixture" function in the "Aircraft/Realism Settings" pull-down menu, but want more DC-3 realism than can be achieved with FS2004's simulation of mixture control. It requires prior installation of Beaumont and Bitzer's Douglas DC-3 Four Fuel Tank Conversion Kit, to be found in DC3_4TK.ZIP. Its purpose is to replicate the auto-rich and auto-lean settings on the mixture controls, including a fully functional mixture control. Its calibrated range of operation is from 3000 to 12000ft. density altitude. In the auto-rich position, it approximates the checked "Enable automixture" setting on the "Aircraft/Realism Settings" menu. In the auto-lean position, the mixture is leaned to increase the exhaust gas temperature about 30 degrees K. from auto-rich, and will increase achieved miles per gallon.
