Development of the prototype D.III started in late July or early August 1916. Following the successful Albatros D.I and D.II series, the D.III utilized the same semi-monocoque, plywood-skinned fuselage. but adopted a sesquiplane wing arrangement broadly similar to the French Nieuport 11. The upper wingspan was extended, while the lower wing was redesigned with reduced chord and a single main spar. "V" shaped interplane struts replaced the previous parallel struts. X-Plane 11.35+ Grumman F8F-1 Bearcat 1.0.1. The Grumman F8F-1 Bearcat is a single engine carrier based fighter designed at the end of 1943. 1436 aircraft, including prototypes, were built. After the WW2, the French Air Force received 200 Bearcats to be used during the Indochina War. The one presented here is an aircraft of the Groupe de Chasse GC2/21 based at Than Son Nut in 1954. It took part in operations over Rien Bien Phu. Credit goes to Beber for the use of his pilots. By Philippe Gastebois.

FSX Destroyer HMS Devonshire

FSX/Acceleration County class destroyer HMS Devonshire. The ship was armed with Sea Slug and Sea Cat missiles and was launched in 1960. It carried one Westland Wessex helicopter. The FS-model is extremly detailed and has many animations like the flight of the Wessex heli or the launch of two Sea Slug missiles. Nineteen cameras let you explore the whole ship or watch teh animations.
The effects allows you to fire the main guns to starboard and port seperatly. The model is supposed to run in P3D but the boat and its effects are not yet testet. FSDS 3.5 model and all configurations by Erwin Welker

This is a panel update of A. F. Scrub's Bell XP-77 recently uploaded. It features both an entirely newly designed VC and 2D panel as well as new smoke effect. In addition, flying at night, the VC is now illuminated as well.

FSX DC-3 Islands of the Bahamas

This DC-3 was placed at the entrance of Nassau Intl Airport in the Bahamas after being stored for some years. It was found on the ocean bed after it was bought to be used as a prop in the movie "Into The Blue" starring Jessica Alba. Uses the default FSX DC3. Textures by BahamasFlyers.
